What I mean is, reverse some of the storylines from the later seasons with the earlier seasons. For example, have Rhoda get a "dream job" in NYC and work for a horrible boss and later meet Joe and have them date and then marry them off in the finale?

It's possible that could have worked. They needed a better cast than the last few years though. I think they did marry her off too soon. The problem they got into was that the publicity for that wedding was so large that when they broke them up ,they lost alot of their fans. I thought the original cast was pretty good. Maybe if they had better writers they wouldn't have felt a need to ruin the show.

You would think so. MTM was a classic studio. I just remember reading how they thought Joe was so wrong for Rhoda and they didn't know how to write for a married couple. They should have thought of that before they married them. lol
