Do you think the reason the wonder years was cancelled was because fred savage and jason harvey was accussed of harrasing a woman behind set i mean it was all over the world in the newspapers, i am sure it got lots of people mad at the two stars think about it do you think viewers would watch a show if the two main characters on the show are sexually harrasing a womon on the set of the show, do you think the show was cancelled because of what Fred and Jason was accussed of ?

I remember when that story broke. It did make headlines but I don't think it caused the show to be cancelled. Ratings had already started to fall. Kevin was getting older. It just wasn't as fun a show as it was in the earlier years.

I for a fact that Fred is innocent he is not that kinda guy that would harass a female , Jason on the other hand is the complete opposite i can see him flirting with some of the women behind the set on that show for a date.

Yeah but this story is crazy fed savage never took me as a pervert not even when he was playing the kevin arnold character he never seemed to look at girls in a perverted way on that show except for danica who played winnie cooper which i am sure he had a crush on in real life he had to he kissed her multiple times on the show lol, anyway i think jason who played the butthead brother jason could have been harrasing the hair dresser woman behind the set of the show into going out on a date with but she refused.

From the research I’ve done and the many findings and interviews they were combined into multiple reasons; for starters the sexual harassment allegations were unfounded and did not do much to the show in actual reality though it did upset Alley Mills who played Norma (and yes the publicity can cause damage and gather unwanted attention but was still only a minor reason, read on to learn more... So I’ve read an article which I will share a link to at the end that better explains the reason for the show ending and there is also a documentary on YouTube called The Wonder Years coming of age or something like that hard to remember on the top of my head. But according to an interview with showrunner and writer/producer Bob Brush and the YouTube videos and other interviews/articles etc. all of them point primarily to the fact that their were rising costs and that the cast mostly the main actors of show were outgrowing there roles and it wouldn’t be the same show after season 6 as it’s after all ‘The Wonder Years’ taking place around the early ages of adolescence just before adulthood. I personally felt show started and ended wonderfully and it ended in a surprisingly realistic and bittersweet way which I’ve grown to like as I still watch the show often anyway and you can really see how Kevin and Winnie weren’t quite fully compatible with their ups and downs. So to wrap this up the show ending was basically due to rising costs and the age of the cast all the other nonsense that has been brought up recently and over the years just adds more unnecessary drama to the situation when they were only minor blemishes.

PS. Here’s the name of TWY documentary: TVography ~ The Wonder Years ~ Comedy Coming of Age (video is 43 min. Long on YouTube, be sure to type it as shown

Almost forgot to mention a precursor the video I mentioned link: https://the-wonder-years.com/?i=documentary

The Interview with Bob Brush link: https://paleymatters.org/brushing-up-on-the-wonder-years-76777160c032

If you want more info you can google additional articles and other videos, Hope this helps to clear things up.

RE rising costs: Don't you think that would have caused all other shows to get canceled, too? Why did rising costs single out TWY?

He was 19, the woman in question was 32 when she was fired. Harvey has no history of any kind of history of sexual harassment. I think that people should keep in mind that the character he played on the show does not necessarily mean it is a reflection of him in real life.

I understand that the people the actors and actress play on TV shows does not mean that is there real personalities in real life, women do get harassed everyday by men and teenage boys, if the woman was attractive i could see why she would feel uncomfortable with them being perverts and making her feel violated men can be perverts

Fred Savage and Jason Harvey have had no other women come forward in 27 years since, to claim sexual harassment. They also have had no criminal charges before or after the incident. The 32 year old woman in question was also mentally unstable.

Newsflash: Women do lie. This reeks of a woman who was fired for a poor job performance, and wanted to get revenge and extort money by making up baseless claims of sexual harassment.

Yeah women do that to men everyday and have been doing that for decades women are seen as innocent in society and they use that to get men they dont like into trouble, i believe Fred and Jason may have had a crush but i dont see them sexually harassing her they are nice guys
