We all know that episodes are edited when we watch them on Nick@Nite and Centrix and other cable channels. So why is it that the closing credits are not edited? I mean why should fans see CUT scenes in the closing credits that were not seen in the episode?
Never understood that at all. Or would it be too much work and they figured we wouldn't care or notice?-lol

Probably the editors just don't care if a snippet during the credits represents an edited scene. On some shows, cast members whose entire scenes are edited out are still listed on the final credits. For example, on the Hazel episode "Genie With The Light Brown Lamp", recently aired on Antenna TV, Maudie Prickett is credited as Rosie, even though her short scenes were entirely cut from the broadcast tape. She is present in the unedited version presented on the DVD. Just another argument for unedited shows on DVD. The bad editing on these shows sometimes make dialouge and gags come off as incomprehensible.

Yeah the closing credits being condensed on some channels doesn't seem like such a bad thing after all lol

I remember that Wanda X was listed in the closing credits of an episode of Three's Company and he wasn't in the syndicated episode. lol
