CBS has announced Draw Something, an unscripted pilot based on Zynga’s game, which counts some 100 million US players. The project is executive produced by Ryan Seacrest and Michael Davies. Per the network: “Each week, teams of celebrities and everyday users will test their skills in front of a studio audience to earn money and big laughs. Viewers can also play along at home for a chance to win prizes and compete with the celebrities.” Embassy Row, Ryan Seacrest Prods. and Sony Pictures TV are producing, with Adam Sher exec producing alongside Seacrest and Davies. CBS has brought hit digital properties to primetime before. Its comedy series $#*! My Dad Says was based on a popular Twitter feed.

is this like a rip-off of Pictionary or Win, Lose, or Draw! or something?

well from you POV's it looks like that this show (based on a popular app game mind you) is going to fail on TV if it ever becomes a series. but for now it's in "PILOT" mode so we don't know if CBS has picked up the series for Daytime or Primetime as of yet.

also some press release about the show as well, it also makes a reference/comparison to a popular 1980's tv game show that was on NBC & SYN. at the time hosted by Vicki Lawrence, Bert Convy & Robb Weller at one time or another:http://www.webpronews.com/draw-something-tv-show-coming-to-cbs-2012-06

I wonder if Buena Vista & Embassy Row teamed up together and called it "Win, Lose or Draw Something" wouldn't that be hilarious folks?
