Yvette Wilson, one of the stars of "Moesha" ... died at the age of 48 yesterday after battling cervical cancer, TMZ has confirmed.

Wilson, played Moesha's friend Andell Wilkerson through 5 seasons of the hit show -- and she played the same role in the spinoff "The Parkers."

Wilson's cancer was Stage 4 when she passed away.

Her "Moesha" co-star Shar Jackson tweeted, "F*ck Cancer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh God. My heart is soooo unbelievably broken. I wanna thank all my tweeties for their prayers but God has chosen to take my sister Yvette home."

I just heard about her death and i was surprised. I didn't know she had cancer. My mom has breast cancer and she's 59. I hope she pulls through. She's supposed to be having surgery soon. I liked Yvette and she was cute. I remember she had a small part in the classic movie Friday with rapper Ice Cube and Chris Tucker. She had came to see Chris because Nia Long had told him that Yvette looked like Janet Jackson LOL. When he saw her, the expression on his face was so funny hahahahahahahahahaha. He told Nia Long, she don't look like Janet Jackson. She look like Freddie Jackson hahahahahahahahahahaha. He told Yvette don't ever ever ever come over here LOL. She also had a small part in the movie House Party 3 with rappers Kid and Play.

Is this your first time hearing about The Moesha curse? It’s similar to that of Saturday Night Live.* Yvette Wilson’s death is the 5th person that had a recurring role on that show to die in just the last 10 years. The strange part isn’t that they all died, but they died way before their time.* None of the made it over 50.

She also appeared in "The Parkers", but was not completely popular as the other members of that show.

I respectfully retired from watching The Parkers and retired from being a fan of that show after she died.

I was watching rapper Coolio's County Line video yesterday on Youtube and I saw Yvette in the video. That song came out in 1994 on his first album and it's a good song. Yvette was in the bed with Coolio when the video came on LOL.

She was a stand up comedian as well, so tragic.
