spotlight a different song from the 1970s or 1980s. The chart information
I will give for each song will come from Joel Whitburn Presents The Billboard
Hot 100 Charts(Seventies and Eighties editions).

This week's spotlight single will be Running With The Night by Lionel Richie,
the second single from his 1983 solo breakthrough album Can't Slow Down.

Featuring a Guitar Solo by Toto's Steve Lukather and backing vocals by a
then-unknown Richard Marx, Running With The Night was written by Lionel
Richie and Cynthia Weil and produced by Lionel Richie and James Anthony
Carmichael. It entered the Hot 100 the week Of November 26, 1983 at
#57 and peaked at #7 for 2 weeks beginning the week of February 4, 1984
during a run of 19 weeks on the Hot 100. It finished at #48 on American Top
40's 1984 Year End Special, the Top 100 of 1984.
