Oprah Winfrey Sets Kardashian Family Special for Sunday on OWN

The Kardashian family, including their significant others, will sit down for an interview with Oprah Winfrey on Sunday.

The "Oprah's Next Chapter" special will feature the former talk show host visit the Jenner home in Hidden Hills, Calif., for what OWN is dubbing the family's first television interview together.



The Kardashian interview -- set to feature Kris and Bruce Jenner, as well as their daughters Kim, Khloe, Kourtney, Kylie and Kendall, son Rob, Khloe's husband Lamar Odom and Kourtney's longtime boyfriend Scott Disick -- will air at a special time at 8 p.m. and be followed by part 2 of the network's interview with rapper Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson.

The special comes three months after OWN hit record viewership following Winfrey's interview with Bobbi Kristina, the daughter of the late Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown.

I'm a big Oprah Winfrey fan, and for the most part, I enjoy the 'Next Chapter' interviews. But I feel with this one, Oprah's just feeding into the media for ratings. She usually prides herself on interviewing people she feels may be able to 'give something back' to the viewers...There is nothing I can take with me and make me think or feel differently about myself when it comes to the ENTIRE Kardashian family. She may as well have a sit down with the Beverly Hills Housewives and the Jersey Shore people. :rolleyes:

Oprah Winfrey's Kardashian Sit-Down Brings Bigger Ratings in Second Week

Kim Kardashian brought in a bigger audience the second time around on OWN.

Sunday's second installment of the "Oprah's Next Chapter" sit-down with the entire Kardashian clan managed to grow 9 percent among total viewers, bringing in 1.2 million viewers.

Without the heavy competition of the first week -- which aired against broadcast network's NBA and PGA coverage -- part two now ranks as the third most-watched broadcast in OWN history and earned high marks in all key female demos.



It sits just behind the "Oprah's Next Chapter" interview with Joel Osteen (1.6 million) and the network's exclusive with the family of the late Whitney Houston (3.5 million).
