I wonder if they ever got the DNA evidence that the 2010 article said the police were working on? Though I do not know were they wouild get DNA evidence from. Unless they have something the kidnapper touched, or a cigarette butt or something.

Never knew they had any DNA evidence. I hope Colleen finds her daughter someday. I have a feeling she is alive. I thought that a girl that went to this church that babysat us kids when I was in middle school looked like Morgan but I'm not 100% sure.

If they were searching a home in Spiro, Oklahoma for evidence, there's a chance the person of interest connected to that home is a registered sex offender in Oklahoma.

I was looking at the Oklahoma sex offender registry here: http://docapp8.doc.state.ok.us/servlet/page?_pageid=428&_dad=portal30&_schema=PORTAL30&SearchMode=Basic&undefined=Basic&SearchBy=Basic&undefined=ALL&SearchAW=ALL&SearchOpt=ALL&city=spiro&state=30658

I see a few candidates from the photos I perused...

One photo really stuck out to me, and after researching him further on Intelis.com, this guy apparently has lived in Arkansas before.

Which one is it? It's time for her abductor (and likely murderer) to finally be caught and prosecuted.

For some reason, Sevier's picture really stands out to me. His height/weight/age seem in line with the description of Nick's kidnapper, too.

The odds that he's the guy are probably low, just looking at it from a mathematical probability perspective, but I guess I'm OK throwing his name out there since he's a convicted child sex offender. Not too worrried about slandering someone like that!

But he used to live in Arkansas, right? It could be a match if the police were searching a home in Spiro, Oklahoma (presumably his).

Yep. He did used to live in Arkansas. His crime occurred in Arkansas, too.

I didn't know about the DNA evidence. Maybe, just maybe there can finally be some answers.

i googled her to see if there was any recent updates but the only thing i can see is that story about "In August 2012, Tonya Smith and James Monhart, two previously convicted felons, were arrested for computer fraud after attempting to assume the identity of Morgan Nick"
i hope she is found one day just so her parents can know what happened to her.

You slander someone’s name while keeping your identity hidden! You speak out with info you find on google, (removed by mod). “Child Sex Offender”...you’re a (deleted).

I mean...if the shoe fits. He is a registered sexual predator for acts with a child and lived in the area, so...

Gotta assume this is actually Brian or his family. He has been talked about in regards to this case for ages now, plenty of mug shots and sketch comparisons out there, not sure why you are going off on this one poster.

I always wondered who did this crime too. I feel that this was a clear rape and murder though I hope she is found alive

Some news on the Morgan Nick case - looks like they now have a photo of what LE believes is the actual truck used in the abduction. Hopefully someone knows who owns/owned it and there is a break in the case.

Just a heads up, a new docuseries about Morgan Nick just dropped on Hulu. It’s called “Still missing Morgan.” Executive produced by Ridley Scott, too which is pretty cool.

I posted this on the Americas Most Wanted message board thought i would post it here

Hulu just released a documentary called Still Missing Morgan you can watch it with a free trail. Anyway it really went into good detail about why police think Lincks is the man who abducted and murdered Morgan that night. From what i could gather from the documentary

1. FBI and Local police believe this was a snatch and go abduction similar to Michaela Garechts or Jaycee Dugard abduction

2. Before Morgan went missing Lincks was charged with raping his granddaughter who was around Morgan age i believe at the time of the abduction

3. The night of the abduction a man who they believe is Lincks had tried to get a 13 year old who was walking home to get into his truck, a little bit after that he yelled at three boys who were riding their bikes in the street and told them to get out of the street and a little bit before that incident two girls around four or three ran home crying saying a man in a red truck again who police believe to be Lincks had tried to course them with money or candy into his truck.

4. A few weeks or months after Morgan abduction Lincks had tried to get an eleven year old girl who was eating at a sonic in Van Buren to get in his truck and made sexual comments about her and tried to pay her money to go home with him. The girl ran saying she was going to call the police and Lincks freaked out hit his truck into a telephone pole and fled the scene but was questioned the next day by Van Buren police and he refused to answer questions about Morgan Nick case.

5. They also mention the similarities that Morgan abduction has to Jacob Wetterlings abduction and how Jacob and Morgan mom are great friends.

Anyway Police are pretty sure Lincks was the guy who abducted and killed Morgan i would really recommend watching the documentary it’s really good and goes into great detail about the abduction and how police have never caught a big break until recently in the case again if your in the USA it can be watched by doing a free trail on Hulu it’s called Still Missing Morgan and it’s a four part documentary lasting around an hour each.

I posted this on another website, but it's equally relevant here:

Recently heard about this tragic/horrific MN case & then watched the 4-part doc. Still Missing Morgan. Extremely well-put together doc. that did an excellent job commingling modern interviews, re-enactments, and '90's-era video footage related to the case. It was sad to note the passage of time re: MN's parents/those investigating the case having gotten so much older in the new footage (when compared to the original '90's video footage)....and to understand that MN almost certainly never had the opportunity to get older herself. If she had, she would probably have had a family/kids of her own by now, etc.

Though you do hear about cases where children who were abducted being found alive years later (sometimes as adults), I would be surprised if that were to happen in this case.

I don't have a real strong opinion on who the perp. was here. The two kids (playing with MN the night she vanished) didn't seem to have a good idea of what he looked like. It's also worth noting that this occurred @ night when visibility was poor anyway....and the kids probably weren't really paying a lot of attention to him at that point, given that they were playing & they probably didn't seem him as a threat ATT, etc.

Though a lot of attention was paid to the red truck w/the white camper....and though it seemed some evidence may have been found in a similar truck belonging to one of the P.O.I.'s years later...there obviously wasn't enough evidence to come to any kind of definitive conclusion regarding this.

If the young people driving past a similar truck near those thick woods (on the night MN vanished) did actually see MN with the perp. parked there - then I agree it's possible he put her in the woods. However, if that happened - I also agree that due to the flooding/rain that occurred in the area right after she vanished - there's a good possibility that she & any possible evidence were washed away.

It's also possible that the perp. (whoever he was, presuming it was only one person) took her somewhere else, etc.

Hopefully this case will be solved & bring closure to the family.
