Most people I talk to didn't like Benny for whatever reason, yet...loved Joe. Why is that?

My memory of Benny was that he was not very bright...and wasn't that great of a boyfriend to Brenda. It's been a LOOOONG time since I've watched Rhoda, but for some reason I remember him being kind of insensitive. I always preferred Gary Levy, actually.

Wasn't Benny played by the same actor who later played Patti LuPone's boss on Life Goes On? Ray something-or-other?

Yeah, same here. I haven't seen Rhoda's Benny episodes in a while, so my memory is hazy too. Everybody liked Gary better and I don't know why.

Again, fuzzy memory but Gary was at least, lively and sharp. Benny seemed a bit dull.

Well I can only speak about Joe because I haven't seen Benny yet. Joe was cool and funny.

I see Brenda was slim during the Benny era

I just didn't like the way Benny spoke to Brenda at times.

I also think Brenda got kinna boring with Benny.much preferred Gary and Brenda togethor.

I think the problem with Rhoda in her last two seasons and particularly in season5 was there were too many uninteresting male characters around,you missed Rhoda's funny female friends from earlier seasons like Mryna and Susie.

I was sad to find out Myrna was never seen again after season 2:( She was sexy and funny. Is Susie the one who was pregnant? I didn't care for her too much if that's her
