Soon I had another golden opportunity to see another "Facts" taping. I picked up the tickets at an office on Van Ness St. of Sunset. And once again... I was escorted into a world where mirth and merriment ruled. This was the filming of the "House Divided" episode, where Natalie's and Tootie's boyfriends din't get along. The subpplot was where Jo stopped payment on a check for a badly-done auto job, according to Blair's advice. It was hilarious to see Beverly Ann teach Andy how to shave by spreading shaving cream on her face, when Blair enters and says,
"Beverly Ann, I just have one word for you: electrolysis." It was also funny when Jo tells Blair, "Anyone would have put a stop payment right off the bat," and Blair mimics her in a nasal whiny voice. When Natalie and Tootie insisted that they be alone with their boyfriends, Blair sneaks in to the living room to grab her books--and gets caught. She whispers that she had to get her books, and, "Why am I whispering? I'm not even here!" before
sauntering off. The one thing that struck me was how small she was, and the other--how I just wanted to BURY MY FACE IN THOSE DELICIOUS GOLDEN TRESSES!!!!:liplick: :eyes: (that means hair.) And then, when Snake is sitting on the sofa, he goes through his lines when he fumbles with his words and says,
"Oh, $&*%!" Everyone laughs and the director off screen announces over the intercom, "None of you heard that n-a-u-g-h-t-y w-o-r-d!" During a break in the action, Mackenzie Astin steps up to the announcer/narrator guy and they both go through bits of Monty Python skits, a show which Mac obviously likes. When they take questions from the audience, I ask Mackenzie if he had seen the "tennis" sketch, which I thought was really funny. He said that he hadn't, he then chuckles then turns away, turning his nose up at me. Something about his gestures gave me the feeling I was being dissed. I felt let down. Aw, the little punk...
 Then there was the mock courtroom scene where Beverly Ann pretends she's a judge with a meat mallet/gavel and Blair plays the "lowlife" mechanic and Jo was the "wonderful human being." Blair acts like the vindictive redneck mechanic and to convey the guy's sliminess, she takes a swig of Coke--and BELCHES!! CLASSIC!! Then Nancy says, "We should have given her BEANS!" That was just too hilarious!! Why they left the burp out in the episode that aired, I have no idea. But it felt like long glorious hours in Lisa's presence, doing what she did best--giving the gift of laughter. I had never laughed so hard at anything as I did that night. It was a break from the cold harsh realities outside, transported into another world where time was pointless... but then, the taping wrapped up, the episode complete. Back into darkness, back into shadows. I bought a loaf of wheat bread at 7-Eleven, devoured that, and settled back into my nightly uneasy sleep. "Darkness, darkness, be my pillow..."

That scene was in A Thousand Frowns, not A House Divided.

To StrudelBone, you're probably right, see, it's been SO long ago,
and I DID see both episodes being taped, so I might have confused them. Sorry, guys. Let's just say, it did happen even if I get mixed up on which.
To (person whose long name I just forgot) who's confused, this is a long saga about when I saw FOL and Lisa for the first time in '87. It might not make sense unless you start at the beginning.
The above installment was when I saw the taping of the "House Divided" episode.
