Wedding Party in the U.S.A.!

Miley Cyrus and Hunger Games star Liam Hemsworth are engaged to be married after three years of dating, their reps confirm to PEOPLE exclusively.

"I'm so happy to be engaged and look forward to a life of happiness with Liam," Cyrus, 19, tells PEOPLE.

Australian actor Hemsworth, 22, who met Cyrus when they costarred in The Last Song in 2009, proposed on May 31 with a 3.5-carat diamond ring from jeweler Neil Lane.

Next up for the couple: Cyrus is in the studio working on a new album, while Hemsworth is currently filming Empire State in New Orleans. He'll also shoot Paranoia with Harrison Ford and Gary Oldman before beginning production on the second Hunger Games installment.

First of all, 19 is too young to get married. She is not even legal to drink the wine at her own wedding.

That boy is too young too. 22? Men at this age usually are still shopping around and probably a guy like this has dated many girls. He should be focusing on his career, and having fun on the side, rather than to be tied to a girl that you may tire of in a years time. I am 45 and old enough to be his father and I am yelling "Don't do it son!". His Australian mates are saying "Mate, don't marry that!"

Maybe, maybe not. My parents were married at this age and made it and became prosperous. But they were poor and had each other. That's the difference. I see a divorce within 2 years.

Speaking of which, has Billy Ray Cyrus have another song besides "Achy Breaky Heart"? Granted, I listen to very little country, and if I do, it is the old school variety and not this pop-country rock garbage. Since I'm not a 14 year old girl, I dunno Hannah Montana either. To me, she is somewhat white trash with tattoos who likes to show her butt and breasts wearing cheap clothing she probably paid thousands for.

I think she is a very talented singer and actress,I like her song the climb and her tv series was funny. She is too young to be getting married though.Especally since they haven't been together very long.Billy Rays best songs achy breaky hart,Some gave all, these boots are made for walkin. He's had a few recently .I can't think of the names of them though. But he's a good singer and actor as well.In my opionion.

I can't stand her, she is smug and arrogant. She is desperate to show everyone she's all grown up and not Hannah Montana anymore, so she gets engaged at 19 years old. Just wait and see, if the marriage goes through it will end in divorce in a few years, if it manages to last even that long.

These singers today are all disgusting, Miley Cyrus, Carrie Underwood, Kelly Clarkson, etc. They carry themselves with an attitude and think their crap doesn't stink, fact is they're not nearly as good as they think they are, and their music is awful. Today, everything is style over substance. No one makes good music anymore. Same goes for TV shows and movies. The old movies from the 1930's to 1970's, and old TV shows of the 50's to 70's are far better than the junk that's produced today.

Me thinks the previous poster is a Republican. He is also completely wrong about Kelly Clarkson. She is very talented. 19 is indeed too young for marriage (in 2012, anyway) and my guess is this will not last more than 5 years.

Yeah, personally i think they are all good singers and beautiful girls.Don't really know them personally so i can't comment on that. But Carrie seems very sweet too.

I was a bit surprised to hear about Miley's engagement but supposedly they have been dating for three years. Granted that means that she was 16 when they started dating and yes, 19 is a bit young but all we've heard is that she's engaged. That could last for a while. I'm not a fan of Miley (although I do love that song "Party in the USA) and I couldn't' tolerate "Hannah Montana" much, but she seems to have a good head on her shoulders for the most part. I mean, I'm surprised that we're not hearing about some 'whirlwind' marriage of Lindsay Lohan. I'm not really trying to defend Miley. Just saying that 19 isn't that young, IMO.

I'm neither Republican or Democrat, I vote for who I think is best qualified for the position, regardless of gender or party affiliation.

Kelly Clarkson is terrible, she is so full of herself and the songs she sings are some of the most horrid creations I've ever heard. Todays music is terrible, it's all about attitude and style now instead of substance. These music talent shows they have on TV these days, American Idol, The Voice, etc., all of them are a waste of time. As I said previously, no one seems capable of writing a decent song anymore. About 25 years ago is when the music industry started going downhill. Grunge, hip hop, and rap started taking over and it just keeps getting worse. What passes for country music today is garbage as well. Even the best bands from the 70's & 80's that used to make good albums, some of those bands are still together or have reunited, and their new music is terrible too. One musician I can think of who's always been pretty consistent making good music is Elton John. Through the years, his music overall has been good, he had that bleak period from 1977 to 79 but then he came back strong in the 1980's.

One modern singer I forgot to mention is Avril Lavigne. Her career started promising, her 1st CD was pretty good, the 2nd one was even better, but aside from a couple songs the 3rd and 4th CD's were not very good, so now her career is at a crossroads.

Well buddy i think everything you typed is completley wrong but you are certanly entitled to your own opionion. There is plenty of good music still around today and all those girls who you mentioned are very good singers.

No i'm sure she doesn't.And i'm not a fan of the way she dresses or flaunts around for the whole world to see either.I think that is a bit much. But i do think she is a good singer.Especally her song the climb. And i also think she's a talented actress and very funny.Deep down i also think she is a girl with a good heart and she know's right or wrong. She just doesn't always act on it.But hopefully she will grow up.She is still very young. So,there is plenty of time.I am also a huge fan of her Dad Billy Ray Cyrus. Her mom is a whole nother story after running away with a rocker. Not a very good example there.Kind of disgraceful.
