Zachery Ty Bryan: Fingers Crossed for "Home Improvement" Reunion
06/04/2012

When Entertainment Weekly reunited the cast of "Home Improvement" for a photo shoot last year, people went nuts. Everyone wanted to see what former teen heartthrobs Jonathan Taylor Thomas and Zachery Ty Bryan looked like as men, how sexy tool girl Debbe Dunning was aging, and whether trusty old Al (Richard Karn) had changed at all (he hadn't).

With such frenzy over a photo shoot, rumors naturally started spreading about the likelihood of a "Home Improvement" reunion. It's hard to visualize how such a thing would even work, but it sure is an interesting prospect.

We recently chatted with Bryan about his new life as a producer, and couldn't resist asking him about whether those reunion rumors are true.

"I'm not too sure about that. Last I spoke was with [producer] Gayle Maffeo," he says. "She told me that it was 'in process.' But I'm still waiting for a call. I will let you know as soon as I know. I'm excited! I've got my fingers crossed."

Bryan confirms that he, too, has no idea what form the reunion would take -- whether it would be a TV special or a feature film.

"Who knows? I'm not on that side of things. I would love to know what could happen from it," he says.

He's certainly not alone, judging by how quickly those reunion pics spread across the Internet.
