What is your analysis of both parent show and spinoff?

Rhoda is a little better after watching 10 episodes. She is beautiful and very funny and her mother is funny too. Then you have the unseen doorman with his paging up to the apartment along with Brenda and her insecurity which generates more laughs. Plus the show is set in NYC and I love all the NYC footage which doesn't look 37 years old, just the cars on the street:lol:

The Mary Tyler Moore show is funny too but it's not as fun to watch as Rhoda because of the reasons above. And sometimes it seems like Lou Grant and Ted Knight overshadowed the Mary character. Rhoda was the star of her show but Mary had like 5 or 6 characters to share the spotlight with. On Rhoda it was just her and Brenda.

Not from what I can see so far. I will watch 2 more eps before I go to sleep and finish off season 1 tomorrow.
