Does anyone think they ditched the original title for the series because it was a little too close to "Charlie's Angels"? It certainly seems there may have been some intent on the part of the creators to make allusions to the very popular CA.
Incidentally I was reading a review of some of the NMCC (New Mickey Mouse Club) shows from the summer of 1977 which Julie Piekarski and Lisa Whelchel was a part of and the reviewer at the time singled out Piekarski and Whelchel as the two "Charlie's Angels of the group". So perhaps it wasn't the first time the allusion was used?

Lisa Whelchel would have made a great model, in any case...

But in the last season they would have had to change the tittle because Mrs. G left the show.

The show would have probably just ended if it was called Garret's girls when she left

It didn't end because The Facts of Life was still a watched show and still going strong.

What would you have thought of a "Facts of Life" calendar or a "Lisa Whelchel" calendar ?

That would have been totally cool.
