Peter Scolari went on to do Newhart, a top-rated show.

When the cast of Bosom Buddies reunited at the Tv Land Awards, Peter Scolari tried to encourage his fallen former co-star by saying "I heard you formed a production company. I hope that works out for you."

You could tell Hanks was grateful to be there, given the sorry state of affairs that played out since he vanished from the public eye after the show's cancellation in 1982.

An obvious distortion of the facts that reflects poorly on Tom Hanks, obviously trying to leach off his former partner's success and stardom.
