I notice that, so far, my last thread on this page has twelve views. I would like to commemorate this event by mentioning that twelve years ago, the new millinium began. Dose anyone reading this remember Y2K? I remember hearing about all sorts of predictions about how the lights would go out at midnight, all of the documents stored on computer systems would be lost and we would go back to the pioneer days! It seems as if everyone and their brother was chopping fire wood and getting their candles ready for action! Well, I remember in 1999, there was an episode of "Mad About You" in which it was mentioned that Paul would have to work on New Years Day. Someone made some comment about how he would have no way of getting home because the subway system would be closed down and all of the traffic lights would be out! Jamie said that that was completely rediculous! Her words were something to the effects of "at midnight December 31th, 1999, people will shout 'Happy New Year', have a glass of champain, kiss the person of the opposite sex closest to them and get on with their lives!" Thatk Jamie Buchman was quite a babe!
