Which new sitcoms are you looking forward to?
Malibu Country, How to Live with Your Parents (For the Rest of Your Life), Partners, The Mindy Project, Go On and Guys with Kids look promising. Would be nice to see more multi-camera sitcoms. Still way too many single-camera comedies.
yankeesrj12 05-24-2012, 04:24 PM The comedies I know I'm going to try out are Malibu Country, How to Live with Your Parents, Partners, Go On, Animal Practice, and 1600 Penn.
I might give The Family Tools a try (only because I like Leah Remini) but it doesn't look too funny.
The Neighbors, Ben and Kate, and Save Me all look AWFUL.
robyrob 05-24-2012, 04:51 PM i somehow clicked on the wrong one - so "Animal Practice" I want to check out, and nobody wants to see "Guys with Kids"
icecream 05-24-2012, 05:01 PM Animal Practice sounds the most promising. It's a shame this will be airing against The Middle, I would love to see it right after. Malibu Country sounds good but I'll be watching Touch then. 1600 Penn might be good.
Mr. Television 05-24-2012, 06:45 PM Malibu Country is the only one that sounds good to me but it's on Friday so it probably won't last long.
Skywalker 05-25-2012, 03:09 PM I'll be watching The Neighbors because Jami Gertz is in it, but I like the idea of a normal family moving into a neighborhood where everyone else is an alien. Could be interesting.
Animal Practice looks like it could be pretty good. I don't really care for the NBC comedies, but it's something different plus they got some Arrested Development writers. They know how to make single camera comedies funny.
The rest of the shows all look dull. I'd be surprised if any of them, including the 2 I mentioned, become hits.
William Hogan Jr 05-25-2012, 06:28 PM Not One new show! I will only watch my dvd series or Antenna Tv!

I was going to say The Neighbors too but it's getting dreadful reviews. Then again, what do critics know. I love Alien sitcoms. 3rd Rock was one of my favorites of the 90's. lol
Pavan 05-25-2012, 06:54 PM There are no reviews yet for it. It's just the premise and that short clip people are basing it off of. I don't think ALF, 3rd Rock got great reviews either right lol?

Figures. I watched the preview video that was posted on the blog and it didn't look too bad. There were a couple of good jokes but the highlight was seeing the neighbors turn into aliens. The famous names gag probably won't work for too long though.
factsoflife 05-25-2012, 10:16 PM I clicked on "Partners", "The New Normal" and "The Goodwin Games" (dying to see Scott Foley on my TV again!)

Have you seen the pilot for Go On yet? I'm interested to know how it was/if you think it can be a success. I liked the looks of the trailer.
Pavan 05-26-2012, 12:25 AM Hope to starting watching all the pilots this weekend. Only saw mid-season drama Mistresses so far.
factsoflife 05-26-2012, 12:29 AM Overall I think we have a weak crop of pilots this year, but a few look like they would have legs to last a few seasons at least.
Go On could be hit or miss.
Malibu Country will appeal to particular audience segments, but will drive others away. It would pair well with The Middle. They really should pair Malibu Country/Last Man Standing and The Middle on one night.
