On the 27th of last month, I started a thread titled "The Trend Continues". Later the same day, someone responded. I was so happy to have finally thought of a topic that someone thought was worthy of a reply! I have since responded to that response twice, but, unfortunatley, have not managed to stimulated any further conversation. In any event, almost every day, I visit this page as well as the pages of "Caroline in the City", "Happy Days" and "Mad About You". It seemed that, for a while, the trend had been for "Happy Days" to get an average of about one post a day while the other three pages were almost complete dead zones! I would rack my brain trying to think of new ways to stimulate conversation and, close to ninety-nine percent of the time, my threads would get no replies! That is why, I started a new thread asking other posters to kick around theories about why "Happy Days" was still getting the occasional post while the other three were not. Thus came the response. The other poster mentioned "Happy Days" being a bigger part of pop culture than "Gimee a Break!" or the other two series. However, it has been over five days since even "Happy Days" has gotten any new comments! I am guessing that this means that, even that show has gone the way of the other three in terms of being a has-been. One thing that might further stimulate some conversation there would be if more seasons go released on DVD. Only four of the eleven seasons are available so far. However, being that a Canadian company has already released the whole series of "Gimme a Break!" on DVD, I doubt that any American company will feel a need to duplicate it. Especially since the Canadian release is readily available anywhere in the region. However, there are two more seasons of "Caroline" and two more seasons of "Mad About You" yet to be released anywhere in the world. Maybe if either of them ever makes it to DVD, things will pick up again. One can dream!
