On a bunch of occasions, I have posted messages about how, whenever I hear the word disgusting, it always takes to back to what Julie said about the way that Katie positioned her body at the protest in "Samantha's Protest". Well, this afternoon, it happened again! I had realized that a lot of episodes of "Different Strokes" had been uploaded onto You Tube. These particular episodes are taken from syndication so there is sone editing involved. On top of that, they do not contain a theme song or the credits at the end. In any event, this afternoon, I watched two episodes from the season 1981/82. One of these episodes was called "Double Date". In this episode, an eleven-year-old Arnold takes a girl named Diane to a movie in the early evening and then to the neighborhood hamburger joint. Because of how young and inexperienced Arnold is, he acts very nervious and awkward. While they are in the restaurant, they run into Arnold's friend Dudley who happens to be there with his family. This makes Arnold even more nervous-in-the-service. Anger and frustration causes Arnold to tell Dudley to get lost. This makes Diane feel uncomfortable and she said to Arnold "your manners are disgusting"! All I had to do as here the word in my mind went right back to Julie's words of wisdom right after she yanked one of Katie's arms away from the handsome boy from the protest and wrapped her own arm around it! I find it interesting that Katie acting disgusting in her attempt to get a date and Arnold acted disgusting while he was already on a date! How about that!
