Syfy has pulled the plug on drama Sanctuary after four seasons, while A&E has done the same with reality series Dog The Bounty Hunter after eight seasons. For Sanctuary, the writing has been on the wall as there had been no word on its future for five months, since the series’ fourth season finale in December. In the case of Dog The Bounty Hunter, the network and the producers had been negotiating a renewal, according to TMZ. Dog the Bounty Hunter starring Duane “Dog” Champan was a breakout hit for A&E and helped establish the network as a place for docu-reality series.

I won't miss it. I liked it in the beginning, but it got old. I got tired of hearing him say "get 'em, Leland" while Leland chased them down and subdued them, and Dog came in at the last minute to claim victory. Also his big mouthed wife Beth got tiresome.

I just love the way they sneaked this garbage back on the air with absolutely no fanfare or media announcements. You couldn't help but read or hear about it when Dog was secretly recorded by his son using racist terms but you could hear a pin drop when the show came back on the air like a dog with it's tail between its' legs. These media conspiracies - I'll tell you - They all point at the same thing at the same time, then they all ignore the same thing at the same time.

I watched Dog for years, but I just got tired of it. I read Dog & Beth are looking for another network to call home. I wish them well.

Could not take Dog seriously because of his fashion sense. My local bounty hunters do not look like that.

I'm surprised Dog The Bounty Hunter lasted as long as it did, no-one's talked about it in Australia for a good number of years now.

I watched it forever.I think the family dynamics changed too much over the years. They had many fans and I believe they did try to reach out and help people. But I wanted soooo badly to get ahold of his hair and get that sun damaged skin treated.

I love Dog The Bounty Hunter and sincerely hope they find a new home on Bravo or TruTv or any channel that covers cop type shows.

I am not sure what happened to Tim (Young Blood) Chapman cause he wasn't on the show for what 2 seasons ??

I don't care about fashion sense and bounty hunters can look anyway they want as long as they get the job done.
