Remember the songs they did before the disco era? From the early 1970's,they did "Run to Me","How Can You Mend a Broken Heart","Lonely Days",and from the mid-late 1960's,they did "I Started a Joke","I've Gotta Get a Message to You","Words",""To Love Somebody","(The Lights went out in)Massachusettes","Holiday",among others.

They were pretty much a soft rock group back in the late 60s, early 70s. And then they got the disco fever and changed direction all for the better. The mid to late 70s they dominated the radio.

My favorite 60s Bee Gee's song is Words which is the one that is rarely played on the radio.
