David Bowie Releasing Remastered 'The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and The Spiders From Mars'

Perhaps one of the most influential pop albums of all time, David Bowie‘s 'The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and The Spiders From Mars' is now being released as a remastered 40th-anniversary edition due June 5th.
The remastering process was done by original Trident Studios (where the album was recorded) engineer Ray Staff (at London’s Air Studios) and will be available on CD and limited edition 180gram vinyl that also includes a 5.1 DVDA.

The album was originally released June 6th, 1972 through RCA records and came with instructions on the back of the vinyl gatefold, “To be played at maximum volume.”
The album was written during the recording of Bowie’s 1971 album 'Hunky Dory' and recording for it began before that album’s release.
