I think it's a Good Move, NBC may not do good on that night any-more like they use too. but cBS does very good on that night and is one of their highest rated nights and the usually win Thursdays, and Having The Number 1 and number 2 Sitcoms on CBS in the same timeslot will trample NBC and make their Thursday Night Line-up even Stronger with more dominance then last year I think. NBC is losing Steam on Thursday as CBS is picking up Steam and I think they want to expand their Thursday night Comedies. I think they see that and see a future, It's also a Test to see How well Mike & Molly and 2 Broke Girls can do on their own without their strong current(as of 2011) Lead in Two and Half Men and being separated by drama at 9 and How I met your Mother at 8. It'as will put more p[pressure on NBC.

I think it's a bad move. TAAHM has always been on Monday nights if my memory serves correctly and audiences are creatures of habit.

It sounds to me like their gearing up for the show to wind down. I know they re-signed Ashton Kutcher, but it's only for a year and while the show has managed to do well in the ratings still, I believe they are down from what they once were.

You hit the nail on the head with that post regarding audiences being creatures of habit, Dr. Thong. As you may recall, ABC moved Laverne & Shirley in the fall of 1979 from Tuesday to Thursday, and the ratings went from #1 to out of the Top 30. Even after moving it back to Tuesday, Laverne & Shirley's ratings never fully recovered.

With a strong lead-in in the form of The Big Bang Theory (#9 in 2011/12), however, Two and a Half Men (#11 in 2011/12) will probably not go down this road regarding its ratings.

Probably not.

Well, Full House moving to Tuesdays acutally gave them a boost in the ratings. The show went to the top 10 in the ratings for two years.

In 1979, ABC rearranging Mork and Mindy, Laverne and Shirley, Angie and The Ropers (I think) messed up viewership on these programs. ABC messed with the cardinal rule: "Don't tamper with a hit".

I just checked out the ratings.Thank god it survived through. The first season. With a 56 rank.Looks like 4,5,6,7 we're there best seasons rank whise at 15,8,10 and 12.I loved it through out it's whole run.I really wish it would of gone on until all the girls graduated.Even in it's last season it was at a 24 rank though. It only ended because of production costs.
