Shumway 07-19-2000, 03:38 PM Monks....and you forgot Central Perk....then again, that might just be coffee..no food...hmmm
The T 07-19-2000, 05:06 PM great topic! (hey about posting if we can post lets just do and if we can't big deal! http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif) I'd say Arnolds. What about the seinfeld restaurant? What was that called again?
see ya~The T.
silentbri 07-19-2000, 06:00 PM The name of the place on Sienfeld is "Monk's". How could I have forgotten Central Perk? They have muffins and biscotti... I consider that to be a restaurant! What was the name of the place everyone ate at on Saved by the Bell? And what was the name of Roseanne's diner she opened on the show? And the only other one I couldn't think of was the Diner that the Ricardo's and the Mertz's bought in one episode of I Love Lucy... other than that, i think I have them all covered!

IGNTBone 07-19-2000, 11:39 PM The Saved By The Bell burger joint was called "The Max", and was run by an aspiring magician
silentbri 07-20-2000, 12:58 PM Ooh! How about the diner that Laverne & Shirley bought from Lenny and Squiggy? "Dead Lazlo's" was the name, I do believe... I wouldn't mind eating there! It was during the "Sexy Shirley" era!

germany_joe 07-21-2000, 06:24 PM How about the pizza joint on 'Charles in Charge'?
PS - CiC - Best show of the 1980s!!!!
Shumway 07-21-2000, 10:31 PM The restaruant on Roseanne was called "The Landford Lunchbox"...it was on "Main St."
LaverneShirley 08-02-2000, 09:48 AM Dead Lazlo's Place? Why would you want to eat there? It's disgusting. But it is hilarious... "My name is NOT BETTY!" "Betty please, pick up"
"(After spilling pancake batter all over the food)"Lucky lucky! For the next 10 minutes everything comes with pancakes!"
Anyway, you mention a restraunt that was in one episode, but you didn't mention the Pizza Bowl in Milwaukee or Cowboy Bill's in Burbank.

"Well, Laverne is sort of childish"
"Childish? Childish? COming from a grown woman who throws tea parties for her stuffed cat!"
"Well at least I don't sew L's on everything I wear!"
"Well that would be pretty stupid considering your name's Shirley!"
The T 08-02-2000, 10:44 AM Yeah I was gonna mention the two L&S restaurants too but L&S got there first!!! Just Kidding.

Gilligannut 08-02-2000, 02:18 PM I would like to eat at the ice cream parlor on the Dobie Gillis show because i love ice cream and the late 50's and early 60's.
Like, Bye!
silentbri 08-02-2000, 03:20 PM I didn't mention the two other restaurants on L&S because I personally would never eat there. However, Dead Lazlo's Place had a really cute waitress http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif

netsetter 08-05-2000, 02:35 AM I'd have to say Arnolds because it would be a blast to hang with Richie and the Fonz.
Also, i'd say The Max because I practically grew up watching Saved by the Bell. Also,
I would eat at the Leave it to Burgers from Silver Spoons because I'm an '80's child and I thought that the breakdancing that was done there was really cool. The Pizza Bowl looked like a real dive, so I wouldn't actually EAT there but I'd probably just bowl.
The T 08-05-2000, 09:27 PM ooohh. good point bri! You're right!
See ya~The T
Chachinator 08-06-2000, 11:43 AM Pizza Bowl would be cool, come on, it's pizza and bowling! get it, pizza bowl? thats marketing GENIOUS! honestly, it's a toss up between the max and arnolds. Arnolds would be cool cause you could eat outside in the drive up deals they had. but the max HAS to be in the running. come on, which one of you guys wouldn't want Tiffany Amber Theissen to wait on you???? Fonzie vs. kelly, too tough to call. the choice between arnolds and the max would probably also answer the question of most loveable dork, Screech or Potsie. Also, you forgot "rachels place" from family matters, the bar from "jesse" (i think it was a bar/restaurant). Now if i were cooking at home, it would be no contest, i'd have Marion cunning ham cook me some steak from Sam's Butcher shop(from brady bunch of course).
silentbri 08-07-2000, 12:14 PM Oh, as far as home cooking goes, I'll let you waste your time in Millwaukee (sp?). I'll be heading on over to Sheriff Taylor's place in Mayberry, where Aunt Bea will stuff me full of deep-south delecacies!

The T 08-07-2000, 10:13 PM I'm with you on that one Bri! That would be great! As for the pizza bowl....well maybe if it was a little nicer. I dunno theres just somethin about the place thats just wierd. I would rather eat at arnolds!!!! with the fonz and all those cute girls!
See ya~The T
silentbri 08-08-2000, 02:15 PM I agree... the Pizza Bowl looks like someplace where bad people go to rub up against other people And then spend a lot of time in the bathroom.

LaverneShirley 08-08-2000, 03:29 PM Spend a lot of time in the bathroom? (Not now Shirl, I'm swamped" "There's no one here" ": :pause:: There are 42 people in the bathroom") Anyway, speaking of bathrooms, somewhere along the line, the bathrooms got switched in the Pizza Bowl....

silentbri 08-08-2000, 06:34 PM Okay, LS... you have officailly crossed the line between "Fan" and full blown "Fanatic". Next step is to start stalking the cast members! I mean, come on... noticing which door leads to which bathroom... that's just kind of sick!
...But fascinating! I'm still envious http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif

The T 08-08-2000, 10:28 PM Yeah no kidding!!!! Wow! How can you notice that?!?!?! I don't know if I should envy you or throw up. Just kidding. About the pizza bowl, yeah it does seem like people just go there to write their phone #s on the bathroom walls and pick up chicks. Know what I mean?
See ya~The T
LaverneShirley 08-08-2000, 11:21 PM Hey! It's not sick! And I'm proud to be a fanatic. Anyway, I wasn't the one who noticed in the first place. One of my friends noticed it so I watched my tapes and found out that she was right. And some people eat there! That's why Frank's always making pizzas. Rosie Greenbaum has even eaten there (actually, Laverne threw spaghetti in her face, but that's beside the point). And people bowl there (even if they DO use the spoons for shoe horns)

warsaw dreams 09-23-2000, 10:42 PM I would like to get take-out from Izzy's, the place that the Head of the Class kids would order from if they didn't want to eat in the cafeteria. Did you ever notice that when they showed the exterior of Izzy's in the early HotC episodes, it's the same front as the restaurant Seinfeld was always eating at?
Gomergirl 11-24-2000, 09:57 PM I can picture it now... Having homemade chicken noodles, corn on the cob, home fried chicken, and a nice chocolate pie.
I'm a very picky eater.
It's a sunday. After sunday lunch we will go out on the front porch. Aunt Bea,Andy,Opie,Barney,Goober,Gomer, and me.
We will have a tall glass of lemonade and homemade ice cream and a slice of Aunt Bea's chocolate pie.
Then Andy will play his guitar while Gomer sings. Barney will probably try to sing too.
Yep, that's how you spend a Sunday afternoon with the Taylors and friends.
------------------
Tell Aunt Bea that Gomer says "Hey".
Cokies 11-25-2000, 08:06 PM The diner in 'Seinfeld' was just called 'Restuarant'. I'd like to eat there. And 'The Max' in Saved by the Bell. I'd like to have a cup of hot chocolate at the 'Central Perk'.
And i'd love to have school lunch food in the Eastland cafeteria.

"It was just like Saturday Night Fever, except it was a Friday."
Becky W 12-04-2000, 11:04 PM I would like to eat at Archie Bunker's Place... if they serve food, that is. Well, maybe I could at least get some pretzels! http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/wink.gif

BoyMeetsWorldFan 12-22-2000, 08:50 PM I think that I would choose Arnold Drive-in from Happy Day's. It looks like it would be good, we have a drive-in restarant here, there cool.
Silver Girls 12-24-2000, 02:26 AM I think that I would want to eat at Chubby's from Boy Meets World. It looks like it would be good, and plus there regular customers are Cory, and Shawn and Eric, and their all cute!
Silver
well, i would try these places...
Mels diner for some of his famous chilli
Archie Bunkers Place for one of Veronicas specials and her delicious banana splits
Charlies Bar for lunch with George Jefferson
I would like to eat at...
Central Perk ~ Friends
Jacks Bestro ~ Threes Company
theplace where Frasier always eats on Frasier
the Golden Girls kitchen, lol
Arnolds ~ Happy Days
Ednas Edibles~ the Facts of Life
the Wings lunch counter

Remo's from CAROLINE IN THE CITY.
The Smash Club on FULL HOUSE.
For a snack i'd go to CENTRAL PERK.

James 08-08-2001, 01:52 PM The following come to mind:
Fatso's (the burger joint on "The Wonder Years")
The Briarcliff Inn (where the Arnolds go for Jack's birthday on "The Wonder Years")
Haskell's Ice Cream Parlor (on "The Brady Bunch"--there's a Perkins logo outside--just watch Episode #105, "Marcia Gets Creamed" and you'll see!)
Leaning Tower of Pizza (where Peter worked on "The Brady Bunch")
Fat Marsha's (the diner joint where Larry and Balki worked after quitting Ritz Discount on "Perfect Strangers")

I forget where these are from.
Sean Snow 08-08-2001, 04:40 PM The Regal Beagle and Jack's Bistro are from "Three's Company". Al's is from "Happy Days"
TV Guy 08-09-2001, 11:44 AM Anyone remember the name of the taco stand where Keith and Laurie occasionally hung out at on "The Partridge Family"?
How about Melville's, the seafood restaurant upstairs from "Cheers"?
Or Guido's, the pizza place seen very infrequently on "Family Ties"?
What about the Italian restuarant Ann and Don ate at on "That Girl"? Was it Nino's? Ann's father owned a restaurant, too, but I can't remember the name.
Some others:
Above the Top, on "It's a Living".
Mel's Diner on "Alice".
The Liberty Coffee Shop on "Angie".
The Bigger Jigger on "Mama's Family".
Archie Bunker's Place did serve food other than pretzels, BTW. He added a bar and grill when the title of the show changed (and the bar's name mysteriously changed from Archie's Place to Archie Bunker's Place).
I would drink something at Central Perks and then get something to eat in the Seinfeld Restaurant place.
DJM77 08-10-2001, 09:25 PM HEY, HEY, HEY!!! I would like to eat at Rob's. It was the diner on What's Happening!!
