FOX has seemingly passed on 'The Flintstones' remake and now 'The Cleveland Show' is in limbo and in some doubt to be renewed. Is this just a case of coincidence or is FOX starting to move away from Macfarlane's Animation???

I sooooo hope that "The Cleveland Show" DOES get renewed...where else would it go if it ever gets cancelled?

That's an interesting question. I really never thought of that. Maybe TBS?...

I really doubt anyone else would pick up The Cleveland Show. Its ratings aren't very good at all and it doesn't have much of a following to speak of. Quite frankly its lucky it lasted as long as it has.
It still has another year of episodes to air though so it's not going anywhere yet, even if FOX doesn't renew it.

I like the The Cleveland Show, but it definetly isn't as good as American Dad or Family Guy. I wonder if it does get canceled if they would move back to Quahog

I hear Adult Swim will pick it up next year.

I heard that it was Seth McFarlane who put The Flinstones on hold. He admitted that he was doing too much at the same time: Three animated series, plus his new feature film.
I don't believe The Flinstones has been cancelled, just shelved for the time being.

I think it is time for McFarlane to step back a bit. When you are putting out so much product at once, the quality is bound to suffer.
Family Guy has been on its last legs creatively for about three years now, and while I do enjoy them generally, AD and Cleveland are both basically carbon copies of FG, right down the templates of the families. And I still can't imagine what a McFarlane Flintstones would be like.
He's an obviously smart guy who can be funny when he wants but he often gets bogged down into "how gross can I get?" and "here's my politics in your face even though you didn't ask for them". Watch early FG and you'll see a real difference in approach and creativity. The guy needs to rest and reload.

the family guy where Meg gets abducted overseas from earlier this month was one of the best episodes I've seen in years
and Cleveland Show is what brings in a black audience to Macfarlane's other shows so it would be ******** to cancel

Seth doesn't know anything about African Americans. He knows nothing. Although, Donna, Roberta, and Cleveland Jr. are voiced by African Americans that is not enough. The show is nothing but stereotypes and he thinks that African Americans are like this. He has to know the culture before he created this but did it for money and that was a bad thing.
