Yeah he would be! I also think Maude would be very good friendsw/ African-American Dem representitives and suppourt much of the legislation that they did.

Oh for sure. Arthur would definitely have voted for McCain in '08 and Romney in '12. He and Maude would have had heated discussions on the Republicans and Democrats.

I ddn't make clear in my last post, but the show ends with Maude being a Congreswoman, hence the friendships w/ the liberal Democrat Reps I mentioned.

Maude was truly one of the great sitcoms. Great cast, exceptional writing and great timing, and of course, Bea Arthur.
