The first thing that I would like to mention is that I am very happy to see that things are picking up a little bit on this page! Now early this morning, I started a thread titled "Down, Down the Mountain". You would have to read the post to know what the title means and what it has to do with "Gimme a Break!". In any event, I see that it now has twenty-three views and zero replies. I would like to commemorate this event by mentioning that twenty-three years ago, for the first time on "Sesame Street" a baby was born! Maria (who was married to Luis) gave birth to her first and only child who was a girl named Gabby! This was a real milestone for "Sesame Street" history! Now, by this stage in the game, "Gimme a Break!" had already been off of the air for a little over two years. Now let us reflect on cases in which there were "Sesame Street" references on "Gimme a Break!". On the first season, there was an episode in which Nell and the girls were watching "Dallas" on a Friday Night. Julie was telling her dad about an instance in which J. R. was making out with a lady truck driver. The Chief said in disgust, "when did you stop watching 'Sesame Street'"? I believe it was during the second season that a bullet just missed the Chief. This incident made the evening news and Officer Simpson was very embarrassed by the sitution. He came to the door and Samantha answered it. In an attempt to keep the Chief from hearing about it, he suggested that she keep the TV tuned to "Sesame Street" for the next few days!
