View Full Version : John Travolta Involved In A Horrific Scandal
Brian Damage 05-08-2012, 10:54 PM John Travolta has been sued for assault and sexual battery by a masseur who claims that the actor tried to have sex with him after hiring him for a massage, E! News reports.
The lawsuit, filed in Federal Court and obtained by the website, says that Travolta stripped down in front of the masseur and then touched the plantiff's genitals.
The Grease star, 58, allegedly apologized for his behavior, but then suggested that he and the masseur have sex with a "Hollywood starlet in the building that wanted to have three-way sex," the suit claims. The man also alleges that Travolta told him that he "got where he is now due to sexual favors he had performed when he was in his Welcome Back, Kotter days."
In the end, the plantiff says that he asked to be dropped off where he was picked up and received $800 — double his normal fee. The plaintiff, referred to only as "John Doe" in the suit, is seeking $2 million in damages and court costs.
Travolta's reps issued a lengthy denial about the suit, saying that the actor was not in California on the day the incident allegedly took place, but was actually on the East Coast. "This lawsuit is complete fiction and fabrication," Travolta's rep said in a statement. "None of the events claimed in the suit ever occurred. The plaintiff, who refuses to give their name, knows that the suit is a baseless lie... Plaintiff's attorney has filed this suit to try and get his 15 minutes of fame. John intends to get this case thrown out and then he will sue the attorney and Plaintiff for malicious prosecution."

Vahan 05-08-2012, 11:08 PM I wouldn't believe a word that comes out of the plaintiff's mouth. He's probably saying these things just to make money off of Travolta.
As some people would say when it comes to these situations, if this actually happened, why didn't the accuser bring this up earlier? Why bring it up now?
Brian Damage 05-08-2012, 11:15 PM A second person has come forward and has alleged the same thing. I hope Travolta wouldn't be that stupid.
Brian Damage 05-09-2012, 09:59 AM The lawyer for the 2 masseurs suing John Travolta for sexual assault says other masseurs have come forward with similar stories and some of them will join the lawsuit.
Okorie Okorocha, who reps John Doe #1 and John Doe #2 (he says he's kept their true identities secret because they're victims of sex crimes) claims he tried settling the case involving Doe #1 discretely, telling Travolta's lawyers they could go to a private judge and keep everything confidential, but he says they shut him down.
Okorocha also says Travolta's lawyer, Marty Singer, is off base when he says Travolta was not in L.A. on January 16 -- the date the first incident allegedly occurred. Okorocha says during their initial discussions, Travolta's lawyers conceded the actor was in L.A. on the date in question.

Brian Damage 05-14-2012, 11:00 PM The attorney for an anonymous masseur who is suing John Travolta says the sexual assault case against the actor is headed to court, E! News reports.
The comments by attorney Okorie Okorocha come after a second complaint surfaced last week, from another anonymous masseur accusing Travolta of sexual assault. Both accusers -- represented in the complaints as John Doe -- are represented by Okorocha.
The second complaint accuses Travolta of sexual harassment, assault, sexual battery and intentional infliction of emotional distress, E! reports.
Travolta’s attorney, Marty Singer, responded to the second complaint, saying, "This second 'anonymous' claim is just as absurd and ridiculous as the first one," the publication reports. Singer reportedly wants to fight the claims aggressively, indicating it is unlikely they will wind up in mediation.
Said Okorocha: "Mediation means settlement. There will never be a settlement because Singer [is] asking for a trial and wants to sue me."
Okorocha added: "We know it will be a full trial with a private judge and court reporter. That's why I filed Doe complaints. I want privacy for sex-crime victims."
Okorocha has reportedly had talks with Singer and has asked for a full trial.
“Okorocha says Singer is ‘just listening at this point’ but hasn't indicated which way he will go, and that Singer is ready to ‘fight to the death’ against the suits,” the story reports.

JamesG 05-15-2012, 03:14 PM John Travolta's First Accuser Drops Sexual Battery Lawsuit
5/15/2012
by Eriq Gardner
The anonymous masseur who sued John Travolta for sexual battery and intentional infliction of emotional distress has withdrawn his claims. On Tuesday, the "John Doe" formally filed a notice of dismissal.
The $2 million lawsuit was filed on May 4 with salacious details about how Travolta had allegedly touched a man inappropriately and propositioned him during a massage session.
Others have since come forward with allegations against the star, prompting Travolta attorney Marty Singer to go on the offensive with promises to sue the accusers and their attorneys for malicious prosecution.
The original complaint was soon amended to detail a second masseur with similar claims, and then a third accuser, a Royal Caribbean cruise line employee, made claims about being offered $12,000 for sex in 2009.
But the first case quickly unraveled after Travolta's legal team produced evidence, including pictures, that apparently showed he actor wasn't in Los Angeles at the time of the alleged event.
The accuser later changed his story, claiming he was wrong about the date of the incident but not the underlying facts. Then the first accuser split from his attorney. The third accuser was confronted with a leaked cruise ship incident report that portrayed what happened as being a request for a massage and nothing overtly sexual.
Meanwhile, Travolta's Singer continues to be adamant that the allegations have been cooked and the accusers' attorney, Okorie Okorocha, shares much blame.
Singer wasn't available for comment on whether he intends to still pursue the first accuser for malicious prosecution now that the claim has been dropped.
For now, the lawsuit from the second accuser survives as the actor continues to deal with a media frenzy.

JamesG 05-17-2012, 08:06 PM John Travolta: Second Accuser Drops Lawsuit, Hires Gloria Allred
By Jessica Derschowitz
May17, 2012
The second masseur who accused John Travolta of sexual battery has dropped his lawsuit against the actor.
The unidentified man, known as John Doe No. 2, has also hired celebrity attorney Gloria Allred, Reuters reports.
Allred also represents John Doe No. 1, the first masseur to accuse Travolta of inappropriate behavior. He dropped his complaint against the actor earlier this week, according to reports.
Allred said in a statement Thursday that this might not be the end of the case.
"We believe that the lawsuit should be filed in another court and, therefore, the lawsuit was dismissed without prejudice," Allred said, according to Reuters. "We will be conferring with our client regarding what will happen next in this case."
The first plaintiff had initially claimed Travolta made unwanted sexual advances during a massage appointment at a hotel in Beverly Hills, Calif., on Jan. 16, 2012.
The second accuser had claimed a similar incident took place at an Atlanta hotel on Jan. 28. Both men were seeking $2 million each in punitive damages.
Travolta's attorney Martin Singer had called the plaintiffs' allegations "absurd and ridiculous."
Earlier this week, Singer said Travolta was "completely vindicated" by the dismissal of John Doe No. 1's lawsuit.

JamesG 05-22-2012, 12:37 AM Gloria Allred Sued for Allegedly Attempting to Steal Clients in John Travolta Case
5/21/2012
by THR Staff
The drama continues in the John Travolta sexual battery litigation—despite the fact that both accusers have dropped their cases.
Okorie Okorocha, the lawyer who represented both masseurs that accused Travolta of sexual misconduct, is now suing Gloria Allred for allegedly stealing his clients.
The civil complaint, filed Monday in Los Angeles Superior Court and obtained by The Hollywood Reporter, alleges claims for intentional interference with contractual relations, intentional interference with prospective economic relations and unfair business practices.
Okorocha claims that upon learning of a possible conflict of interest between his two clients – John Doe No. 1 and John Doe No. 2 – he suggested that John Doe No. 1 find a new lawyer.
At that point, John Doe No. 1 allegedly dismissed Okorocha from his case and hired Allred to represent him. The lawsuit was ultimately dropped.
Allred then allegedly solicited John Doe No. 2 in an effort to represent him as well. Okorocha then appeared on CNN on May 15 to discuss the alleged solicitation, after which Allred fired back with an email to Okorocha claiming that she had had “no communication with that person” and warning, “I strongly advise you not to make false statements about me.”
Two days later, it was announced that Allred had signed John Doe No. 2 as her client. Just a few days later, the second case against Travolta was dropped, though Allred continues to represent both John Does.
Okorocha is seeking unspecified compensation, as well as non-economic damages for “emotional distress.”
Allred issued the following statement on Monday: "Mr. Okorocha's lawsuit will be dismissed, and we will ultimately recover a judgment against him."

Travolta, Kelly Preston show awkward PDA
RHEANA MURRAY
Tuesday, June 26, 2012
John Travolta and wife Kelly Preston hammed it up for photographers Monday to prove they’re still in love — really, truly in love.
The pair was all big grins and awkward kisses as they graced the red carpet for a premiere of the actor’s latest film, the Oliver Stone-directed “Savages,” in Los Angeles.
JOHN TRAVOLTA FACES NEW SEXUAL ASSAULT SUIT FILED BY FORMER CRUISELINE WORKER
The cringe-worthy show of affection comes a day after the “Pulp Fiction” star was hit with yet another sex assault lawsuit — this time, by a cruise ship worker who alleges Travolta, 58, dropped his robe and accosted him in a private cabin. The former Royal Caribbean employee, Fabian Zanzi, says Travolta offered to pay him $12,000 for sex.

Zanzi is the latest in a string of sex accusers.
Since the bombshell accusations, which Travolta’s lawyer has vehemently denied, the actor and Preston, his wife of 20 years, have struggled to keep a low profile.
But on Monday night, the couple appeared to be putting on a show for the paparazzi. A PDA-happy Travolta couldn’t keep his hands off Preston, who obliged and took her husband’s hand as they posed for the shutterbugs.

The forced smooches weren’t unlike Michael Jackson’s infamous kiss with wife Lisa Marie Presley at the 1994 MTV Music Video Awards — questionably authentic and undeniably hard to watch.

Mr. Television 07-08-2012, 05:22 PM I always liked John Travolta. It's very disappointing if it's true.
