We should keep this more for the classic 7 seasons since there may be several that people don't like from later seasons anyway - I'll start - I never cared for the Season 1 episode "Blueprint for Murder" - the casting and even the script though penned by Bochco seemed off and a throw away; sadly I just learned Falk directed it but I really don't think that was an issue. I did like the moments with Falk trying to obtain permission to dig up the pillar but the casting of Beau Wlliamson and the villain Patrick O'Neal as Markham are very subpar - not to mention BOTH of Williamsons wives // grating.

I quite liked that pilot episode;I thought the tension was maintained throughout and there was a twist with the Police woman pretending to be the young redhead at the end. I thought Peter Falk was a charismatic genius who sustained interest in even some of the weaker plots. The only episode I didn't care for was "Columbo Goes Undercover" which I believe was adapted from a book and not written especially for him.

ugh, and it was just on again last week, once I see the dog in the beginning, I know what episode it is, I just hate that episode so much, I dnt understand it and simply hate it. A lot of people didnt like undercover, but I really liked that episode, I know it was different than the regular formula, but it was a nice change and I really liked it.

Agree, the Chess match thing with the deaf man I didnt care for either.
