I hear that, like 30 Rock, all returning NBC comedy series are likely to get short orders.

That's terrible - not so much for "The Office" but in general for all the shows getting short seasons next year.

I don't think anybody over at NBC is competent.

Could NBC be adapting a cable model? Short orders of shows on a rotating schedule. I mean, why else would ALL of their returning shows get short seasons?
It wouldn't be the worst idea ever. Less episodes = less cost = lower ratings standard.
Or it's possible NBC is just completely afraid to commit to anything.

Well why would any fan want that since it will mean MORE REPEATS? Unless it will only air if it's a new episode.

If by short order you mean it will return in January or February of 2013 then I;m done with the show

We won't know anything until NBC releases their full schedule, which is likely on Sunday from what I've heard.

Yeah next week is Upfronts and NBC's day is Monday, but I've heard that since FOX and NBC are both going on Monday that NBC will announce their schedule on Sunday instead. Guess we'll see.
