I see that I am in the minority here in that most people favor Robert or Debra but Ray is actually my favorite character on Everybody Loves Raymond. So, with that in mind, do you have favorite Ray moments? Two of mine are:

When Ray gives Ally the fancy $250.00 dress and when she asks him why he changed his mind, I love his reply. "Because you're a good kid, you don't ask for much and I want you to know I'll be there for you when you need me."

I'm a Robert fan and not much of a Debra fan, but one episode that I thought Ray was much more desireable in was the one where he tried to make up for taping over their wedding by giving her another one. He didn't want his mother doing it and really got into the spirit of it, trying make sure everything was perfect for her. This is one time I can recall that he wasn't so stinking lazy about something. A breath of fresh air.

Hugh'sgirl first I have to say, I like your screen name. I think Hugh Bueamont was a very handsome guy, debonair. I consider myself a fan.

I also like the moment you chose for one of your favorite Ray moments. He really did sincerely try to make up for taping over he and Debra's wedding. I also love the episode where Debra's parents are divorcing and Debra worries that she and Ray will grow apart. Ray assures her that will not happen and the ending scene where Debra says "tighter, tighter, tighter, tighter." as Ray is holding her is sweet. I know I'm in the minority but I think at heart Ray is a good guy and tries how he knows to be a good husband to Debra though I admit they did portray him as lazy at times. I like Ray overall.

I thought of another episode or moment that is a favorite of Ray's for me. I like the episode "The Walk to the door." It's really kind of sweet how badly Ray felt for not walking Elizabeth to the door. Also, love the tape he kept of a girl's message and in the end we find out the girl broke up with him and he held onto the tape because (the girl) breaking up with him broke his heart and he didn't understand why she'd done it. It's also one of the rare episodes where Debra is nice to him.

I like the episode where Ray remembers Ally being born. (Ray and Ally are at the daddy/daughter dance.) The end of the episode is so sweet. :heart:

Thanks Blanche&Rosefan. It's always nice to know other HB fans out there and you are so right, handsome he was! Best TV dad too.:D You should go to the Leave it to Beaver board sometime, we need more posters over there. I get frustrated because no one seems to respond much anymore.

I liked when Ray witnessed Robert's new girlfriend eating a fly at the dinner table in the episode called "She's the one" in season 7!!!

I love to watch Raymond play the piano for Allie. :) :) :)
