Sadly what has gone to radio from my most favorite singer, James Otto, gets played very rarely if ever at all these days. :( :( :(

"I Just Got Started Loving You" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MCx6NnGYHh0&feature=fvst)-from his Sunset Man album & went all the way to #1 for two weeks and was named the #1 country song of 2008. It aso scored James his very first Grammy award nomination.
"For You" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oiU81KIRZ_Q&ob=av2e)-from his Sunset Man album
"These Are The Good Ole Days" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1q0OAe_Y5d4&ob=av2e)-from his Sunset Man album
"Since You Brought It Up" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AVHjrKNUV6c)-Because this song was never placed on an album, it is only available where ever songs can be purchased online.
"A Groovy Little Summer Song" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z0VQnY5SotA&ob=av2e)-from his album named Shake What God Gave Ya!
"Soldiers & Jesus" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-apzM7YiOf8)-from his album named Shake What God Gave Ya!

I pray every day that this changes some day because to me James is the best, I love him SO much!!! :) :) :)

God bless you and him always!!! :) :) :)

MOST classic rock songs. It seems the radio stations only have a certain amount of songs they play from each classic rock band, like they figure that's the only songs they have!! -

Queen - We Will Rock You/We are the Champions, Bohemian Rhapsody, Killer Queen
Rush - Tom Sawyer, Limelight
Led Zeppelin - Black Dog, Rock & Roll
Kiss - Rock and Roll All Night, Detroit Rock City
Def Leppard - Photograph, Pour Some Sugar on Me(which I can't even listen to anymore, same with Rock and Roll All Night)

I could name off so many more but I'm sure you get the idea.

Nowadays it seems to be anything that never peaked in the Top 10 on the Billboard charts from 1970 on, and anything that never hit #1 up until 1969.

Interestingly one of the exceptions is Elton John's "Tiny Dancer" song from 1972, which only reached #41 on the charts yet still gets good airplay! It didn't do much better on the Adult Contemporary charts. Go figure!

Pretty much all good music.

Practically everything I listen to doesn't get played on the radio anymore. Go check my submissions to the "What Song Are You Listening To" threads and let me know if you've heard those songs anywhere.

From your list, # 1, 3, 4, 8 & 9 rarely get played in this area. # 2 & 6 are shoved down your throat. I can't recall ever hearing #5 outside of seeing the video on MTV but it wouldn't matter because the station would be turned immediately after hearing the first notes of the song. I've never heard # 7 & 10.

If you have a list of songs that you feel belong in this thread then post them here yourself, people don't have time to go chasing down your replies in another thread especially when it's a very active one.

Don't you think you're being a bit rude by replying in such a condescending tone?

It wasn't my intent to be rude. D-Dey wanted us to go to the What song are you listening to now threads which there's 19 of with 1000 + replies each and find his posts among them. If he feels that some of the songs in those threads belong in this one then he should post them here himself. I'd actually like to see some of them but I'm not going to waste my time tracking them down.

Okay, here's one I haven't added, or if I did, I forgot about it.

"Rainy Day," by APB.

Until recently it had been so long since I heard it, I only remembered the chorus.

BTW, I never expected anybody to track down every single song I've ever added on the 'What Song Are You Listening to Now" lists. Even if you did, you could've just picked one at random from me. I was just kind of indecisive as to which one I wanted to add.

:rolleyes2

We have a station in this area that plays that one quite often. One of Elton's most overlooked songs is "In Neon" which I've never heard on any station.

Anything by The Carpenters, except for their Christmas songs in November/December.
