They do, but only on YouTube.
I agree all three are a waste, Beavis and Butt-head is the only thing I've watched on MTV in years an that's a rebooted series from nearly 20 years ago.
I think it's only a matter of a few years before The CW and MyNetworkTV cease operations, which would cause a lot of small stations that can't afford to go independent to go dark.
EmoJoe 05-04-2012, 04:53 PM There are plenty of channels I don't like but I understand the existence of most of them.
However, My Network TV seems to be completely useless at this point. What does it even air anymore?
Jude The Obscure 05-04-2012, 06:09 PM MNTV is just simply a programming service-- a step below even Antenna TV and Me-TV in that it only provides primetime programming (most of it repurposed cable shows or old L&O reruns)--those stations either have to buy syndicated programs or affiliate with another service to fill out their schedules (and some just revert to infomercials all day--which is a waste of air time). I don't see it lasting beyond next year at the most.

I will second eMpTyV. They have been pretty much worthless since the late 80's/early 90's, IMO.

If Pay-TV Providers are forced to offer their channels a-la-carte (There is a lawsuit working its way through the courts) A LOT of Channels will end up going dark!
Tubehead 05-05-2012, 08:45 AM I like my network tv i watch judge mathis and people court on it they show differnt other show i like.
Vahan 05-05-2012, 11:59 AM There are so many, but one that comes to mind right away is GSN (Formerly Game Show Network).
The channel used to be one of the best, but ever since the dreaded 2004 changeover, they've slowly, but surely, become one of the worst.
No matter how hard they've tried to redeem themselves, they always found a way to screw it up.
And in 2009, things went from bad to worse, when Deal or no Deal started hogging so many timeslots, they began losing the rights to the Goodson-Todman library, and only leasing them in increments, and among other things, began going back and forth to Reality TV, failing to realize that Reality TV didn't work then, and certainly isn't going to work now. In 2009, I stopped watching the channel, and it was one of the hands-down best decisions of my life.
This channel even has the worst credit crunch job I have ever seen in my entire life. Most channels do them, but GSN's is the most horrendous I have ever seen! It's for the same old repetitive promos we've seen many times, and then they just cut off the program that is still being shown over to the next one.
If they're so desperate in promoting their upcoming programs, what's wrong with just squeezing the program that is currently airing to the right, and showing the list of shows that are coming up next to the left, while the program and the audio from it are still playing, like FamilyNet does?
I even stopped posting on the GSN boards in 2009. And during my time there, one thing that made me so mad was some people having the nerve to list Reality shows as Game Shows. Really? You call fake competition, game shows that have no rerun value whatsoever, "game shows"?
EmoJoe 05-05-2012, 01:07 PM I like my network tv i watch judge mathis and people court on it they show differnt other show i like.
Those are syndicated shows not exclusive to My Network TV. My Network TV is the network that replaced UPN and had a bunch of crappy low-budget soaps for a few years until they delved into...I don't even know what now. Re-runs, I guess?
icecream 05-08-2012, 03:32 PM However, My Network TV seems to be completely useless at this point. What does it even air anymore? This is their primetime schedule.
Monday 8-10 Law & Order: SVU
Tuesday 8-10 Cold Case
Wednesday 8-10 Burn Notice
Thursday 8-10 Without a Trace
Friday 8-10 Monk
icecream 05-08-2012, 03:34 PM Oxygen and WE (they are just LIFETIME light).Actually WE is better than Lifetime now that it has Frasier.

Awesome post... I agree with everything you wrote. I haven't watched the Game Show network in awhile. I definitely miss shows like Tic Tac Dough, Chain Reaction and any "classic" game show.

That lawsuit has allegedly been in the courts for over 20 years. A-la-carte programming was at one time available to those with c/ku band satellite system.

I think RuPaul's Drag Race already moved to VH1. Not that I watch it but I knew it was Logo's signature show.
I'd be content if Laverne & Shirley reruns were made accessible on Hulu or CBS All Access. Add It's A Living, Facts of Life, Three's Company.
Married With Children already is seen on so many channels and is on Hulu.

KurtfromPitts 12-18-2019, 12:08 PM The History Channel. Used to have worthwhile offerings-especially "Automobiles". Nowadays it's mainly junk reality stuff.

 My husband watched CNN a lot but I thought your comment was funny!
My picks would be MTV, VH1, Disney and Comedy Central. There are more of course, but those are the big ones. I think Disney has kind of run its course to be honest.
Schmo 12-30-2019, 05:33 PM Just about every cable channel is not as good as when it first went on the air.
