View Full Version : TV Shows with Similar Episode Titles
andress_jade 04-27-2012, 11:16 PM Okay, I was watching my Golden Girls DVD's and it made me realize something. I noticed that a couple of the season 7 episodes have the same titles as two Frasier episodes.
The two episodes are Mother Load and A Midwinter Night's Dream. In Mother Load, Sophia goes to therapy with Dorothy and Stan and Blanche deals with her boyfriend's overprotective mother. In A Midwinter Night's Dream, Blanche hosts a moonlight madness party.
On Frasier, A Midwinter Night's Dream takes place in an early season episode. Niles and Daphne are stuck together alone in Niles' mansion during a thunderstorm. Mother Load takes place in season 8. Niles and Daphne deal with Daphne's overbearing mother.
I just found it funny that two completely different shows have the same titles, with two completely different stories.
Cheers and Frasier had similar titles for episodes but that was because they were both made by the same people.
Can you think of any shows out there that share or have a similar episode titles as another show? I'm sure there are a few out there. Please share! :D
Leslie Eckhardt 04-28-2012, 01:14 AM TV Or Not TV. A title I have seen on The Honeymooners, Hazel and Bewitched. There may be more that I am unaware of.
Ihavealife2uknow 04-28-2012, 01:31 AM I come across these a lot! Can't remember most of them right now though. :(
One I remember right now is "We Got The Beat" which is an episode of Full House and an episode of Degrassi.
"The Plays The Thing" was a Full House episode title and also a Sponge Bob episode title.
andress_jade 04-28-2012, 03:58 AM I just thought of f a few more.
There is an episode of Frasier called Halloween and an episode of Dr. Quinn called Halloween.
Obviously they both take place on or around Halloween. The episode of Frasier is in season 5, and has them all dressed up as their favorite characters from literature and Roz finds out she's pregnant. On the episode of Dr. Quinn in season 2, Brian thinks Dorothy is a witch, and a towns person suffers from narcolepsy when people find him "dead" all over town.
There is an episode of Roseanne called Boo! and an episode of Frasier called Boo!
The Roseanne episode takes place in season 2, during Halloween when they have a haunted house in their home, and the episode of Frasier takes place in season 11. Frasier dresses up as a clown and scares his father Martin so bad he has a mild heart attack.
JamisonCollins 04-28-2012, 12:40 PM I have also seen a Sanford and Son episode titled TV or Not TV.
BigManMike 04-28-2012, 01:17 PM There was an episode of Three's Company called "Days of Beer and Weeds" and then an episode of The Ropers called "Days of Beer and Rosie"
Somewhat unrelated, there were two episodes of the Cosby Show, coincidentally both in Season 6. One was called "Shall We Dance" and the other was called "Getting To Know You", and those are both songs from The King and I.
