Danielle Harris Confirms Role in Hatchet 3!

Speaking with OBX Entertainment Harris said, “I’m excited to be starting 'Hatchet III' next. It’s going to be great.”

This is from an appearance at this past weekend’s “Blood On The Beach” convention, and OBX claims she gave the statement yesterday. Given the timing and the fact that Hatchet 3 is currently prepping and is about to shoot in and around New Orleans, Louisiana – I’d say the margin for error is pretty low.





Hatchet 3 will be written and produced by series creator Adam Green who is handing the directing reigns over to longtime camera operator BJ McDonnell.

It will continue where the story left off in Hatchet 2, as a young woman sought revenge on the malevolent Victor Crowley who killed her family while they were fishing in Louisiana swamp country.

ArieScope Pictures and Dark Sky Films will likely release the film sometime in 2013.

At least Green will still be involved, for awhile it sounded like he wasn't even going to produce.

Dark Sky Confirms The Return of Danielle Harris & Kane Hodder for Hatchet 3

Dark Sky Films and Ariescope Pictures are pleased to officially announce that both Kane Hodder and Danielle Harris have joined the cast of Hatchet III, the next exciting chapter in the horror saga of swamp-dwelling killer Victor Crowley, which will be written and produced by Adam Green and directed by BJ McDonnell.





Kane Hodder portrayed the evil Crowley in the 2006 Hatchet and will continue in Hatchet 3.

In the 2010 sequel, Danielle Harris took over the role of Marybeth, the young woman who, at the movie’s climax, managed to escape Crowley’s clutches (and, apparently, kill him).



The new movie continues where Hatchet 2 left off, as a search and recovery team heads into the haunted swamp to pick up the pieces and Marybeth learns the secret to ending the voodoo curse that has left Victor Crowley haunting and terrorizing Honey Island Swamp for decades.

A 2013 release is planned.

Victor Crowley is officially returning as pre-production is underway in New Orleans on Hatchet III, which has officially revealed the throwback cast.


Here’s who will be heading to the Louisiana swamps:

Diane Goldner (The Collector)

One-legged Wrestler Joins Hatchet III Team

It was announced yesterday that a few more genre favorites have joined the soon-to-roll Hatchet III, and now comes word that a notable name from the wrestling world is taking part in the sequel as well.

Word trickled down to Fango that Zach Gowen, an amputee missing his left leg who nonetheless grappled for the WWE back in 2003, has joined Hatchet III’s stunt team.

Gowen, whose screen credits include A Very Harold & Kumar 3D Christmas still wrestles for other leagues (he’s currently touring with ICP’s Juggalo Championship Wrestling) and is also a motivational speaker.





Meanwhile, writer/producer Adam Green noted via Twitter today that more casting news can be expected any day now.

Directed by BJ McDonnell, Hatchet III will lens in the New Orleans area starting next week and continuing through June.

Zach Galligan Heads to Hatchet 3

Hatchet 3 has scored a new cast member in Zach Galligan according to a story at The Hollywood Reporter.

Galligan, best known for playing Billy Peltzer in Gremlins and Gremlins 2: The New Batch and for his leading role in Waxwork and Waxwork II: Lost in Time, will play Sherrif Fowler.

Behold the Comic-Con Teaser Poster for Hatchet III

Hatchet fans hitting Comic-Con 2012 this week will get a nice little treat -- a limited edition Hatchet III poster created exclusively for the annual nerd prom, at which cast members will be on hand to sign.





Here's the offical press release for Hatchet III at Comic-Con 2012:

This Saturday, July 14th, Dark Sky Films and ArieScope Pictures will be distributing limited edition teaser posters for their upcoming horror sequel HATCHET III exclusively at San Diego Comic-Con. On-hand at SDCC to sign the posters will be writer/producer Adam Green, director BJ McDonnell, and cast members Kane Hodder, Zach Galligan, Caroline Williams, and Rileah Vanderbilt.

The teaser poster, featuring Kane Hodder as slasher icon Victor Crowley, offers fans their first look at producer Adam Green's hotly-anticipated film.



The official HATCHET III signing will be held on Saturday, July 14th on the San Diego Comic-Con floor at area/table AA21 from 02:30 PM - 04:30 PM. Each fan who comes to the signing will receive a free limited edition poster, which will only be available at Comic-Con 2012.

Fans can also catch Victor Crowley walking the convention floor throughout the day, and those who snap a picture of themselves with Crowley and tweet it (tagging @darkskyfilms), will be entered to win a Hatchet Army t-shirt and limited edition poster.

Can't wait for Hatchet III.

Adam Green's sitcom Holliston returns in June also, Kane Hodder as Victor Crowley has even made an appearance on it.

These movies take so long to be released. Almost a year ago Danielle Harris told me that it would be out soon. Not that the release date is up to her or anything. I guess she probably won't have any photos from the movie yet when I see her later this month.
