Obviously Growing Pains and The Wonder Years are two completely different shows, but as anyone who knows their classic TV would know, both shows are creations of Neal Marlens, even though he only co-created the latter.

All I can say is I'm glad I started watching The Wonder Years, it's giving me quite an insight as to what life was like for Americans in the late 1960s/early 1970s. It's a shame Neal Marlens hasn't created any other shows!

Also, when The Wonder Years debuted, did ABC mention the fact that it was from the same man who created Growing Pains?

No the wonder years is 10 times better then growing pains i like the first season of growing pains but it is nothing compared to the wonder years
