View Full Version : Mr. Belvedere dies mxurbanski 08-03-2001, 09:27 PM Christian passed away today according to a reliable source. He has been ill and in the hospital for some time. He was returned home and passed away around noon, in West Hollywood. Brett Ferino 08-04-2001, 10:35 AM His name was not Christian. It was Chris. He is often credited as Christohper too ol2xs 08-04-2001, 07:58 PM It is a very sad time for fans of the show. Mr. Belvedere was an icon growing up. Everyone who I've informed of his passing has the same reaction. The are touched with sadness at his loss and also graced with the memories that were provded by this show. It was never a ratings giant but it had a loyal audience who enjoyed the show for what it was. Thanks, Mr. B DJM77 08-06-2001, 08:02 PM I just heard about his death on Entertainment Tonight. He was eighty years old. Farewell ol' chum. Madness 08-06-2001, 10:48 PM Here's an article on his death. http://tv.zap2it.com/news/tvnewsdaily.html?19741 On a side note, is it just me or did he not look 64-65 when Mr. Belvedere premiered? He looked like he was in his late 40's to early 50's. Bob Uecker looked older than him. Madness 08-06-2001, 11:13 PM Here's the article. http://tv.zap2it.com/news/tvnewsdaily.html?19741 It's posted and has been for a few days at the Mr. Belvedere board but I figured in case someone doesn't visit that board they would know. On a side note, is it just me or did Mr. Belvedere look about late 40's-early 50's when the show started and not 64-65?! JT 08-07-2001, 12:14 AM I was alos surprised at his age.I mean 80 years old?I thought he would have been around I don't know 62 or something like that. Mcfly 08-07-2001, 12:20 PM Thanx a ton, Madness. I was hoping to maybe make it to his funeral or memorial service, and that article listed it, so now I can say goodbye properly. johnnysam 08-07-2001, 05:04 PM good bye Mr B-you will be sadly missed. anyone know if TV Land or Nick at nite will be showing this wonderful, underrated, gem of a tv show?
