“I do.” When Judy Jennings (Judy Greer) said those two little words, her life went down the rabbit hole. Suddenly Judy became an instant stepmom to two kids. Oh, Judy…be afraid, be very afraid.

Judy left the excitement of city life to join her husband Dean in the ‘burbs, only to find her world completely turned upside down. Forget the lack of upscale boutiques or cultural events; Judy didn’t realize she married into a family with some seriously fuzzy boundaries. Dean’s Double-D ex-wife, the tough-talking town Sheriff (Elaine Hendrix), drops in unannounced, to shower after her workouts. Her stepson, Chuck Norris (named by The Sheriff, of course) surprises Judy at the most inopportune moments. And her mother-in-law, Judy “One” (Mimi Kennedy), raids the fridge whenever she feels like it and judges her parenting skills. Judy’s clearly out of her element and feels like small town hospitality isn’t always hospitable. Finding a friend may take some time, but until then, she’s always got her family.

From executive producers Deborah Kaplan and Harry Elfont (Made of Honor, Surviving Christmas, Can’t Hardly Wait), Ira Ungerleider (How I Met Your Mother, Friends), and David Gardner, Peter Principato, and Paul Young (Reno 911!), and director Beth McCarthy-Miller (30 Rock, Up All Night), comes this hilariously quirky new comedy about feeling like a fish out of water in your own family.

Dusty is a 24-year old Seattle architect who learns the hard way that he married his junior high school sweetheart at least 10 years too soon. After getting an eyeful of his wife in the aforementioned compromising position, he does what any sane young dude would do – he files for divorce and moves in with his buddies. But everything has changed between the sexes, since Dusty walked down the aisle. There used to be dating “rules.” Now, there are no rules. It’s a free-for-all, like the Wild West…only sweatier, and more complicated, due to social media.

Luckily Dusty has some more experienced friends to help him dodge the dating landmines. There’s Andrew, the people-pleaser and over-thinker who’s in a long-distance relationship; Oliver, a self-confessed sex addict in training; and Sam, the hot, smart girl they’d all love to date. Awesometown is a raw, hilarious peek behind the curtains of what’s really happening in 20-something relationships.

Executive producers Adam Sztykiel (Due Date, Made of Honor), Josh Bycel (Happy Endings, Scrubs) and Jon Fener (American Dad) take you on a wild ride through the contemporary dating scene in this edgy new ensemble comedy about modern relationships.

"Counter Culture"
Half Hour Multi Camera

CAST

PRODUCTION COMPANY: Sony/ABC Studios
EXECUTIVE PRODUCER/WRITER: Stephnie Weir
EXECUTIVE PRODUCER: Claudia Lonow

Welcome to the Wagon Wheel Diner. Proudly serving Waverly, Texas since 1952. You could call it a greasy spoon, but the Haynes sisters might make you eat your words, right along with the Blue Plate Special. Here, every order comes with a side of Texas style sass mixed with sibling rivalry, which is why the regulars love this place.

Meet Joyce, Nonie, and Billie Haynes, co-owners of the Wagon Wheel. They’re opinionated, often inappropriate, and sometimes politically incorrect (hummus = “terrorist food”). They have a habit of letting their family drama get in the way of running the diner. But when they stir up the hornet’s nest, it always comes from a place of love. Through the years, between the broken hearts and broken dreams, their family roles haven’t changed a bit. Joyce (Emmy Award Winner Margo Martindale) is the oldest sister and always knows what’s best. She’s about to become a first-time grandma and is pretty darn certain “Corduroy” is a bad name for her grandson. Having survived cancer, Joyce can be tough as nails, and won’t hesitate to play the “cancer card” when it suits her. Nonie, the middle child, is a dreamer who still to this day, at the age of 55, wants to fly the coop but just can’t quite get up the nerve. And then there’s Billie, the baby, who’s working on putting her wild ways behind her. After an AA meeting, she used the church baptismal pool to do a little “freshening up,” which led to an embarrassing excommunication. Oops! Keeping a watchful eye over everything is Aunt Lee (Doris Roberts), the high-haired Southern Belle who strives to keep the Haynes sisters on the straight and narrow, along with Alonzo the cook. While manning the grille, Alonzo dispenses advice to the sisters in short order, like their own personal philosopher/guru.

Executive producers Stephnie Weir (MadTV) and Claudia Lonow (Accidentally on Purpose, Cashmere Mafia) create an ensemble comedy that combines southern charm and family values with a heaping helping of down-home humor.

"Family Trap"
Half Hour Single Camera

CAST
Mandy Moore: Annie
Stockard Channing
Erinn Hayes
Majamdra Delfino
Kurt Fuller
Nelson Franklin
Ravi Patel
Mike Castle

CREDITS
PRODUCTION COMPANY: 20th Century Fox Television
EXECUTIVE PRODUCERS/WRITERS: Bob Fisher, Stacy Traub
EXECUTIVE PRODUCERS: Marty Adelstein, Becky Clements
EXECUTIVE PRODUCER/DIRECTOR: Shawn Levy

Annie (Mandy Moore) comes from a completely normal family. They’re dysfunctional, needy, high maintenance, self-absorbed, non-confrontational, and have absolutely no regard for boundaries. And now that she’s moved back home, Annie’s landed herself smack-dab in the middle of all the family chaos.

Newlyweds Annie and Ben have just relocated to Southern California to pursue an amazing opportunity – running one of LA’s hippest and most talked about new restaurants. But before they can even get the doors open, Annie gets sucked into her family’s dramas. Her older sister Kate, who’s always perfect, is having a meltdown because she’s overwhelmed by her new baby. Sarah, her younger sister, has just gone through a divorce and is reverting to her hard-partying high school ways. Zach, her slacker baby brother has just moved in “temporarily”, which is code for permanently. And her meddling mother expects everyone to drop what they’re doing to pose for a family portrait. Yep, just a completely normal family, who’s pulling Annie in a million different directions. Now, instead of trying to please everybody, Annie’s challenge will be learning to say one little word…no.

From executive producers Shawn Levy (the Night at the Museum franchise, Real Steel, Date Night, The Pink Panther), Marty Adelstein & Becky Clements (Last Man Standing), and Bob Fisher & Stacy Traub (Notes from the Underbelly, Kitchen Confidential) comes a new comedy about how to survive your family drama without going crazy.

"How To Live With Your Parents (For The Rest Of Your Life)"
Half Hour Single Camera

CAST
Sarah Chalke: Polly
Jon Dore
Elizabeth Perkins: Elaine
Rachel Eggelston
Brad Garrett: Max
Rebecca Delgado Smith
Orlando Jones

PRODUCTION COMPANY: 20th Century Fox Television
EXECUTIVE PRODUCER/WRITER: Claudia Lonow
EXECUTIVE PRODUCERS: Francie Calfo, Brian Grazer

When you move in with your parents after your divorce, you tell yourself it’s not forever. Even if you’re living with crazy, you can survive it. Because, it’s only temporary.

Polly (Sarah Chalke) is a single mom who’s been divorced for almost a year. The transition wasn’t easy for her, especially in this economy. So, like a lot of young people living in this new reality, she turned to her parents for a little help. Polly and her daughter Natalie have moved back home with her eccentric parents, Elaine (Elizabeth Perkins) and Max (Brad Garrett), a couple who are full of life, which seems to always collide with hers. And after a year, it kind of feels like a life sentence. Polly’s determined to be “the best single working mother in the Universe”, the mom she never had, and so far it hasn’t been a cakewalk. Polly and her parents look at life through two different lenses. Polly’s too uptight. Her parents are too laid back. Polly’s conservative when it comes to dating (no action, whatsoever), while her parents are still sexually adventurous. Polly’s trying to have perfect parenting skills, while her parents are more relaxed. They think Polly turned out okay, so what’s the big deal. Well, they say it takes a village to raise a child…and in Polly’s case, this village is on fire. But with help from her best friend Gregg (the one that got away) and her lovable yet irresponsible ex-husband Julian (the one who wants her back), Polly takes her first steps toward getting a life, starting with a social one.

From executive producers Claudia Lonow (Less Than Perfect, Accidentally on Purpose, Cashmere Mafia), Brian Grazer (Arrested Development, 24, Parenthood, Friday Night Lights), and Francie Calfo (The Playboy Club, Scoundrels), comes a contemporary new comedy about what it takes to start over. Sometimes you need to move home, in order to move on.

When Reba Gallagher (Reba McEntire) discovers her husband Russell, a country music legend, has a cheatin’ heart…her world blows up, right along with the family fortune. Reba dreamt of becoming a country star herself, but put her career on hold to raise a family with Russell. Now, she’s questioning all of that, big-time. With the ink on her divorce barely dry, Reba packs up her sharp-tongued mother Shirley (Lily Tomlin), her three kids, and the U-Haul, and heads for sunny California to begin a new chapter. Leaving Nashville in the rear view, they’re moving to Malibu, to the last remaining asset they have left – a little beach house. But liberal LaLa Land is quite an adjustment for this traditional Southern Belle. From the Bentleys to the Malibu Barbies, the West Coast seems like the polar opposite of Music City, and Reba feels like an outsider. But with the support of her family, she sets about finding her voice, jump starting her music career, and embracing this chance to begin again.

From country music superstar/executive producer Reba McEntire and executive producer Kevin Abbott (Last Man Standing, My Name Is Earl, Reba) comes Reba’s return to series television. Malibu Country is a hilarious new comedy about new beginnings that will make your heart sing.

Meet the Trotters, Del (John Leguizamo) and Rodney (Dustin Ybarra), two brothers pursuing the American Dream. But while some folks work in office buildings, the Trotters do things differently, buying and selling discounted, discontinued and slightly damaged items out of the trunk of their ’78 Pacer wagon. Most days, you can find them at The Regal Hound, a bar run by Del’s ex-wife Ruby Ross (Wendi McLendon-Covey) which the boys often use as an office space. Del’s the risk taker, always looking for a sweet deal, whether it’s unbreakable piñatas, skinny jeans that are a little burned, or a DeLorean with monster truck wheels. He’s got a million big ideas. And he’s just one score away from becoming the next great captain of industry. Rodney’s the more conservative one, the voice of reason, who acts as Del’s conscience. Raised by his brother, Rodney is constantly trying to get out of Del’s shadow. And then there’s grandpa, Jackie (Christopher Lloyd), a feisty former stunt man in his golden years, who thinks he’s still got it. Even though their half-cocked scams and schemes usually leave the Trotter bank account running on empty, they’ll be fine as long as they avoid the law and rely on each other.

Based on Britain’s all time favorite comedy, Steven Cragg & Brian Bradley (Scrubs, MadTV) adapt and executive produce this subversive new comedy about the slightly crooked path two brothers travel on the way to achieving success.

At Egg Computer Technology, a leading smartphone company, the programmers are anything but cool. They’re the “prairie dogs”, the cubicle dwellers, who write software code all day and pop their heads up from time to time to see what’s going on. In another era, they’d be wearing pocket protectors. These underdogs do all of the technological grunt work but get none of the glory.

Meet Neil (Kal Penn), a programming wiz. At Egg, he’s the top dweeb, the guy the other nerds all look up to. But Neil has big dreams beyond programming. He wants to move over to the sexier, higher profile design department to work for Rams (Cary Elwes), a kilt-wearing German eccentric. The only problem is, his boss Imogene needs him too much to let him leave.

Enter “Guy”, a conman who’s just stolen Neil’s identity. He’s been racking up quite a bill living an exciting life on Neil’s credit cards. He may have stolen Neil’s identity, but he’s having a lot more fun with it than Neil ever has. Fed up with people taking advantage of him, Neil decides to confront the identity thief with the help of his friends Mazi, Roj, and Charlotte. And when they do, it leads to an unlikely friendship with “Guy”, and an ingenious plan to get Neil transferred to the design department.

From Jackie & Jeff Filgo (That ‘70s Show, Diary of a Wimpy Kid, The New Adventures of Old Christine) comes an ensemble work-place comedy about taking care of business with friends in low places.

Production Company: ABC Studios, ITV Studios, Mark Gordon Company
EXECUTIVE PRODUCER/WRITER: Bobby Bowman
EXECUTIVE PRODUCERS: Mark Gordon, Paul Bucieri, Andrea Shay

Jack Shea (Kyle Bornheimer) is the King of Epic Fails. When it comes to his career, he always screws things up. In the Army, he accidentally shot someone. In the Police Academy, he accidentally shot himself. Seminary school didn’t work out much better. He’s just flunked out — for the third time. So Jack is headed home to regroup, again.

Jack’s dad, Tony (JK Simmons), has spent his whole life building a successful hometown handyman business, but is suddenly forced to retire due to a heart condition. He loves his business and doesn’t want to abandon his clients, but it’s clear the time has come to pass the tool belt on to someone else.

Now, armed with big dreams, power tools and a slacker assistant named Darren who calls him “pimp juice”, Jack becomes the new Mr. Jiffy-Fix. As in his past job experiences, things don’t go smoothly, and Jack soon discovers there’s quite a learning curve to this handyman stuff. (Note to self: be careful with the nail gun.) And it doesn’t help that his dad’s looking over his shoulder every step of the way. But if Jack can find his sea legs, with a little help from his family including his cool Aunt Terry (Leah Remini) and his teenage cousin Mason, he just might finally make his father proud.

From Bobby Bowman (Raising Hope, My Name Is Earl, Yes Dear, Family Guy) and Mark Gordon (Grey’s Anatomy, Criminal Minds) comes a new ensemble comedy about trying to find your true calling, right at home.

"The Neighbors" (aka Down to Earth)
Half Hour Single Camera

CAST

How well do you know your neighbors?

Meet The Weavers: Debbie (Jami Gertz) and Marty (Lenny Venito). Marty, in hopes of providing a better life for his wife and three kids, recently bought a home in “Hidden Hills,” a gated New Jersey townhome community with its own golf course. Hidden Hills is so exclusive that a house hasn’t come on the market in 10 years. But one finally did… and the Weavers got it!

It’s clear from day one that the residents of Hidden Hills are a little… different. For starters, their new neighbors all have pro-athlete names like Larry Bird, Jackie Joyner-Kersee, Reggie Jackson, and Dick Butkus. Over dinner, Marty and his family discover that their neighbors receive nourishment through their eyes and mind by reading books, rather than eating. The Weavers soon learn that the entire community is comprised of aliens from Zabvron, where the men bear children and everyone cries green goo… from their ears.

The Zabvronians have been stationed on Earth for the past 10 years, disguised as humans, awaiting instructions from home, and the Weavers are the first humans they’ve had the opportunity to know. As it turns out, the pressures of marriage and parenthood are not exclusive to planet Earth. Two worlds will collide with hilarious consequences as everyone discovers they can “totally relate,” and learn a lot from each other.

Dan Fogelman (the writer of Cars, Tangled, and Crazy, Stupid, Love), Director Chris Koch (Workaholics, Modern Family), Jeff Morton (Modern Family) and Aaron Kaplan (GCB, Terra Nova) executive produce this new comedy about close encounters of the 3rd kind, in New Jersey.

"The Smart One"
Half Hour Multi Camera

CAST
Jean Smart: Helen
Malin Akerman: Candy
Portia de Rossi: Jude
David Arquette: Buddy
Stephanie Beatriz
Matt Oberg

CREDITS
Production Company: Warner Bros. Television
EXECUTIVE PRODUCER/WRITER: Don Todd
EXECUTIVE PRODUCERS: Ellen DeGeneres, Lauren Corrao

How can people raised exactly the same see life so differently? Meet two sisters who are total opposites. Jude (Portia de Rossi) is brainy, logical, and intellectual. There’s no code she can’t crack. Her sister Candy (Malin Akerman) has great people skills and regular-folks appeal. If life were a popularity contest, she’d always win. And if you asked them…each would say, “I’m the smart one.”

Jude is single, beautiful, driven, and a little prickly (not the warm and fuzzy type). She’s also a politically brilliant campaign manager. The candidate she was backing just lost the mayoral race to a former beauty pageant queen and weekend weather reporter – who happens to be Jude’s sister Candy. Candy is popular, enthusiastic, a PTA mom with a loving husband — Buddy (David Arquette) — and now she’s been elected to the top spot in City Hall… no doubt to her sister Jude’s amazement. Their mother Helen (Jean Smart), who’s no slouch in the smarts department herself, knows that Mayor Candy can’t be successful without Jude’s help. So she hatches a plan to get Jude to join Candy’s team. Now, who’s really the smart one? With Jude’s braininess and Candy’s connections, this combination could be dynamite – or at least explosive. It won’t always be pretty, and the sibling rivalry will get intense, but in the end, these sisters always vote for each other.

From Emmy-winning talk show host and executive producer Ellen DeGeneres and executive producers Donald Todd (Hart of Dixie, Samantha Who?, Ugly Betty) and Lauren Corrao (The Job), comes this smart new comedy, set against a political backdrop, about two very different sisters who will put family first, and finally learn to appreciate each other’s unique gifts.

"The Unprofessional"
Half Hour Multi Camera

CAST
Mary McCormack
Greg Germann
Mo Gaffney
Aiden Potter
Sabrina Carpenter

CREDITS
Production Company: Warner Bros. Television
EXECUTIVE PRODUCER/WRITER: Kari Lizer

Hilary Pfeiffer-Dunne (Mary McCormack) is a high-powered, overachieving corporate executive, known for being a hard-working, highly valued model of efficiency. Or so she thought. Instead of getting the expected raise and promotion, Hilary just got handed a pink slip.

Now she’ll make the most stunning move of her entire career – she’s hanging up her smartphone to become a stay-at-home mom. Seriously, how hard can it be? If she can run two corporate offices with 80 employees, running a household with two teenagers and her husband Griffin (Greg Germann) should be easy breezy. Well, after her first week “on the job” Hilary understands why some housewives are driven to drink. She thought she was going to be raising her “children,” but her children have turned into teens, and teens are a whole different animal. Their honesty will definitely keep an executive ego in check. On top of her kids not appreciating her Martha Stewart-perfect meals, Hilary can’t get the hang of carpool, and instead of making friends with the other moms, she’s become persona non grata. What worked in the boardroom isn’t working on the home front. Hilary’s learning the hard way what it takes to be a great wife and mother. Stripping off the pinstriped suit was only just the beginning.

Executive producer Kari Lizer (The New Adventures of Old Christine, Will and Grace) creates a hilariously authentic comedy about losing your job and finding yourself in the process.

My picks on which will be added to the fall line-up:
4/21/12 -
There is once again a nice mix of singe camera and multi camera sitcom pilots this season, with 7 single camera ones and 6 multi-camera ones. It is too early to tell which will make it, because some have not been even taped/filmed yet. It is hard to pick something that hasn't been seen yet, but going by plot and casting I already have some favorites...but it is just based on casting/plots. I will know more soon when I see these.

Anyway, I hope we REALLY see these sitcoms for 2012-2013, whether it be fall or mid-season:
American Judy (single camera), Counter Culture (multi-camera), Family Trap (single camera), How To Live With Your Parents (single-camera/hybrid), Malibu Country (multi-camera), Manzanis (multi-camera), and The Smart One (multi-camera). Hoping 6 of these 7 are picked-up. My wildcard is The Neighbors (single camera)--depending on how it comes out.

DISCLAIMER:
Cast photos coming soon. Please remember most of these pilots will not make it, so it will be kind of cool having a photo of a cast of a show that does not make it. So out of these 13 sitcoms, probably about 4-6 will make it on the air actually next season. The rest will go in what is called pilot hell, where tons of pilots each year go.

Please post your thoughts on which you think will make it.

The Neighbors sounds AWFUL and the image looks like something made on paint.

I like Malibu Country, and I feel that Family Trap would do pretty well behind Modern Family.

American Judy and Counter Culture are the two I would love to see. They sound hilarious. A kid named Chuck Norris. LOL.

My best guesses:

---Prairie Dogs
---Malibu Country
----Awesometown
-Family Trap
---The Neighbors
----Counter Culture

And maybe 3 for mid-season:

--American Judy
---Only Fools & Horses
---The Smart One

Prediction:

Tuesdays:
8:00pm - Last Man Standing
8:30pm - Malibu County and/or The Manzinis

Wednesdays:
8:00pm - The Middle
8:30pm - How to Live With Your Parents the Rest of Your Life
9:00pm - Modern Family
9:30pm - Suburgatory

ABC can't seem to establish a hit out of Modern. Put something that's been around and has the potential to grow there. If ABC could reach 8-10 million in that slot and a 3.5, they'd be happy. Suburgatory has the potential.

Disagree about moving Suburgatory. It is perfect at 8:30pm. Happy Endings did fine in the fall/early winter doing 3s. Apartment 23 has done solid in the slot so far for spring ratings. Both of those shows will be back for sure.

I can see this for fall regarding sitcoms:

Fall
Tuesdays (four-camera night)
8:00PM Last Man Standing
8:30PM Malibu Country
9:00PM Dancing with the Stars: The Results / late November The Manzanis
9:30PM in mid-October (so cut DWTS Results in half for a month) Counter Culture
[By doing this, it will solve the problem in January/February when anchor DWTS is off the schedule and the entire night gets hurt.)

Wednesdays (single camera night)
8:00PM The Middle
8:30PM Suburgatory
9:00PM Modern Family
9:30PM Best new family single camera like Family Trap, American Judy or How To Live With Your Parents

TBD on schedule in January or mid-season: The Smart One, Apartment 23, Happy Endings and possibly Cougar Town (two of these can be used at 10pm on Wednesdays when Revenge goes on a hiatus to run repeat free.)

My thoughts:

American Judy - sounds like a perfect fit out of Modern Family. ABC really needs to put a family sitcom at 9:30pm Wednesday. Cougar Town, Happy Endings, and Apt 23 have all had bad retention. This to me sounds like the best bet and Judy Greer is awesome

Awesometown - sounds terrible. Also a terrible name.

Counter Culture - not sure about this one. I like the cast but I think it could be a very old skewing show. It depends on how much ABC dives into multicam comedies

Family Trap - sounds good too and could def fit on Wednesday if American Judy doesn't work out. But of the two, I think Judy sounds more promising

How to Live with Your Parents - I think this sounds a bit weaker than Judy or Family Trap. Plus, Brad Garrett and Elizabeth Perkins are only 16/17 years older than Sarah Chalke. They don't strike me as her parents.

Malibu Country - sounds like a perfect companion to Last Man Standing

The Manzanis - I like Rhea Perlman and Kirstie Alley. I would be interested in this show. Also could work on Tuesdays.

Only Fools and Horses - Yuck. I don't like John Leguizamo or the premise

Prairie Dogs - Sounds boring

Red Man Van - not appealing

The Neighbors - Has ABC not learned from the debacle that was "Work It"? This show sounds like it would be bad in 1994 and definitely wouldn't work in 2012.

The Smart One - Great cast. I'd like to see this one get a chance.

The Unprofessional - Doesn't sound like anything special.

But why do you have detailed information on ABC's pilots, and not on those of the other networks? That's all I want to know. I'm not trying to rock the boat, nor am I criticizing; I'm just curious. I've long noticed, for example, that the "upfront" threads for other networks are a handful of pages long, while the ABC threads are always huge. Given that fact, as well as the annual ABC pilot threads, it's not unreasonable for one to deduce that, for one reason or another, ABC gets preferential treatment on this board and on the blog.

Now that you've made this post, I'm sure you won't give your thoughts on the pilots, right?
Of course not. I don't have any opinions on the pilots, since I haven't seen any of them.

We get what we can get. We have tried to get other network's detailed pilot info but no luck. We have had access to ABC's detailed info for the pilots for 10 years. Even Futon has more details for ABC's pilots than the other networks. So it's not just us. You should be happy that you can find detailed info here along with photos! Hard to find photos of stuff that won't make it pass a pilot right?

As far as the upfront thread goes, every network is covered. Scheduling info and more. I can't control to where people will comment and post on. I think the ABC ones are usually padded by posts like this. I don't think I have seen you post on those upfront threads, so why do you really care? We cover all networks here and on the blog. I guess we didn't promote Fox's 25th anniversary enough, right? Maybe 3 or 4 blog stories wasn't enough?

There's absolutely no need to get nasty, Pavan; it was an honest question. You asked me why I care, even though I already said "I'm just curious." Isn't that enough, or do you want me to give you a detailed answer in essay form? Maybe I should turn it around on you and ask why you're getting so defensive over a simple inquiry.

You're right: I've probably never posted in any of those upfront threads, but that doesn't mean I don't peruse them once in awhile, or even often. The hard work you put into your threads and in the blog is definitely appreciated. I tip my hat to you and want to stress that all the great things you do on this site don't go unnoticed by me. But again, the preferential treatment ABC gets is glaringly obvious -- and not just in sheer amount of coverage, but in the fact that you seem to defend anything and everything the network does to the death. You're a better PR machine for ABC than the network itself.

I'm sorry that I struck a raw nerve with you, Pavan; I really am. That wasn't my intention. I was just trying to have something clarified that I've wondered about for several years.

I'm sorry that I struck a raw nerve with you, Pavan; I really am. That wasn't my intention. I was just trying to have something clarified that I've wondered about for several years.

Not getting nasty, so sorry if it came out that way. I didn't understand this was such a big issue after 10 years. I already stated in the first post that we couldn't obtain the detailed information for the pilots for the other networks. Believe me, I want the detailed info badly. I would love to see the cast photos of all shows that never make it pass the pilot stage. I'll continue to keep trying.

What have I defended on ABC that made you so angry (or wonder all these "years")? I am passionate about the shows I love, and that does include non-ABC shows (Breaking In, Big Bang, etc).

If ABC holds Happy Endings for mid-season I am going to be ****ing pissed. It gets better ratings than Last Man Standing, if anything that's the show that should be held for mid-season.

I hope it doesn't get held to mid-season, too. I think Apartment 23 and Happy Endings are a perfect pairing. But the question is where can they air in the fall? Thursdays at 10? Wednesdays at 10 (if Revenge gets moved, which I am not for in moving right now)? Last Man Standing is going after a different type of audience, more of a mass appeal and 25-54 audience.

Weren't there rumors of ABC trying a Friday comedy block? Last Man Standing would be the perfect fit for that, I think, since Friday night shows rarely top a 2.0 in the demo anyway.

I think a Happy Endings/Apartment 23 block at 10:00 could work well. I think Revenge could probably hold its own on another night too. Both shows are more adult-orientated than family-orientated shows so they'd work well at that time. A Happy Endings/Apartment 23/Cougar Town block would work really well in terms of tone but I fear it would NBC-esque ratings.

God hope no Friday block as scripted comedies is not the way to go on that night anymore. Shark Tank is perfect and does very well. I could see Missing/Body of Proof there in the fall on Fridays if ABC is airing Shark Tank in January again. If not, then Shark Tank/Body of Proof in Fall is good enough and will be #1 or strong #2.

Last Man is a self-starter and I think it is needed on Tuesdays if they are doing a multi-camera comedy block there, especially since it is the only one ABC has right now. I'd bring Cougar Town back but it will be mid-season again and could give Apt. 23 or Happy Endings a break. 10pm hour is the way to go for those comedies, I think.

Yeah I think 10PM is a good idea for those shows.

Do you think they might consider moving Revenge to Sundays? If they keep Once Upon a Time at 8, put Revenge at 10 and find a strong new drama for 9:00 they could have a solid block going on there.

Only if they air Apartment 23 and Happy Endings on Wednesdays at 10, then they should only move Revenge. Could see a 2.7 and a 2.4 for both in Fall and that would be similar to Revenge. Nothing else would work, especially a new drama.

Yeah Sundays would be a good destination for Revenge. Either 9 or 10pm I'm fine with. Or even Thursdays after Grey's Anatomy and maybe eventually it could inherit the Grey's slot. Early thoughts and the focus should be on comedy next fall:

Fall

Mondays
8:00 PM Dancing with the Stars
10:00 PM Scandal or Devious Maids

Tuesdays
8:00 PM Last Man Standing
8:30 PM Malibu Country (new)
9:00 PM Dancing with the Stars: The Results (late November: The Manzanis (new))
9:30 PM late October: Counter Culture (new)
10:00 PM Castle

Wednesdays
8:00 PM The Middle
8:30 PM Suburgatory
9:00 PM Modern Family
9:30 PM American Judy (new, or any of the other new single-camera family comedies I mentioned)
10:00 PM Don't Trust the B---- In Apartment 23
10:30 PM Happy Endings

Thursdays
8:00 PM Private Practice (not sure what else to do here right now)
9:00 PM Grey's Anatomy
10:00 PM Revenge

Fridays
8:00 PM Shark Tank (or Missing, if Shark Tank is January)
9:00 PM Body of Proof (WWYD should definitely be held until January)
10:00 PM 20/20

Sundays
7:00 PM AFV
8:00 PM Once Upon a Time
9:00 PM 666 Park Avenue (new)
10:00 PM GCB

Plenty of new dramas and a new comedy or two in mid-season.

Does anybody think that ABC will renew GCB or is that show dead in he water?

I think Revenge could do perfect on Sundays at 9pm, replacing Housewives and leading into a new drama.

I think they need to move "The Middle" to Tuesdays, it doesn't fit on Wed nights with more liberal shows like Modern Family and Happy Endings.

I'd love to see Cougar Town and Apt. 23 on Weds.

I think they will, but it depends on how it does the next 2 weeks. It has done OK and so has Scandal. If I were to bring back mid-season dramas, it would be those two. Missing skews old and the only place it could air is Fridays, but I think Body of Proof will be more of a priority to bring back than that.

I feel like with Scandal the issue is going to be how Private Practice does over the rest of it's season. It's not doing well on Tuesdays, so it'll come down to what ABC views as a bigger priority, another (likely final) season of Private Practice or a second season of newcomer Scandal, which could grow into a bigger hit.

GCB is going to be left to sink or swim I think and as long as it holds it's numbers the next two weeks we'll see it return.

I can't see any reason for Body of Proof or Missing to return. POF has done so poorly this season and attract so little buzz. Missing is a dud, pure and simple.

I definitely agree ABC should focus on comedies. As much as I love my NBC shows, ABC has trumped them in terms of development of new comedies the past two years. They have a solid amount of both mass appeal hits and critical/cult favorites which is pretty impressive. I just hope it doesn't mean quality shows get the short end of the stick.

I think moving The Middle would be a mistake. It's found a nice home as the starter of the Wednesday block.

Body of Proof had plenty of buzz the last few weeks (all three episodes 10+ million viewers). Great two-part episode and the season finale was excellent. It has secured a spot on the schedule, I think, as it is a great 25-54 option (perfect for Fridays). It really stepped up its game in the second half of this season. It took longer than Castle did to find itself, but I think it has become a great show now.

ok... you are basically saying that every bubble show on ABC is going to (or should) get renewed and that's definitely not happening. You only have 1 new drama on your early thoughts schedule (possibly 2 because you have Devious Maids as a possible Mon slot). I can't imagine ABC won't premiere at least three new dramas in the fall. Body of Proof, Scandal, Private Practice, GCB, Missing - there's not room for all of them. I would have said Missing and Body of Proof would be the ones to go but Proof made it interesting towards the end. ABC shouldn't be afraid to cancel Private Practice. It has the least upside of any of these shows and if its first Tuesday is any indication, it's not going to do well without its comfy lead-in.

I don't think ABC should move Revenge. The Weds 10pm slot has been horrible to them for years and they finally have a show working there. Don't mess with a good thing. I would be shocked if Happy Endings/Apt 23 got a 2.7/2.4 there. They can barely get that in recent weeks with a 4+ demo lead-in at a better timeslot. I know it's spring but still. No comedy would get a 2.4 demo at 10:30pm.

I would be interested in seeing how Castle would do at 8pm Thursday. Now that they have shored up Weds 10pm, that is the next trouble slot for ABC to work with

I agree 100%.

There is no way ABC renews all of their bubble drama's. I see Scandal and GCB as the most likely to get renewed.

Private Practice and Missing are least likely to be renewed, imho. Body of Proof could go either way, and it really will all depend on how ABC's development goes.

I don't think moving Revenge is a good idea just yet... Maybe in season 3, but not in season 2. Let it develop its audience a bit more.

I think Missing is good as gone. I don't think Body of Proof is salvaged either, it's done okay the past few weeks but I don't think it's really done well enough to warrant a renewal. Private Practice, GCB and Scandal I could see going either way.

I think ABC should wait to see how Revenge does next season and then make a decision on moving it. They waited two years before moving Grey's Anatomy, so I would try the same exact thing with Revenge. ABC has left some shows in timeslots for way too long (Private Practice, Castle, Brothers & Sisters - I'm talking to you) but this is one show that has to stay for at least one more season.

As for the bubble shows, I see ABC cancelling GCB and Missing. If Private Practice drops this week, it's gone, but if it's able to build, it has a chance of coming back. The only time Scandal has faced any sort of competition was for its premiere, and premiere week always does the best. I'd like to see how Scandal does against The Mentalist this week before making any decision on it. If Scandal can hold, it'll come back. At best, only two of the five (Body of Proof is the fifth) will return.

Baby Daddy is another new show coming to ABC Family.

A New ABC Family Original Comedy
Baby Daddy, is a half-hour series about Ben (Jean-Luc Bilodeau, Kyle XY) who, in his 20s, becomes a surprise dad to a baby girl when she's left on his doorstep by an ex-girlfriend. Ben decides to raise the baby with the help of his mother Bonnie (Melissa Peterman), his brother Danny (Derek Theler), his best buddy Tucker (Tahj Mowry) and his close female friend, Riley (Chelsea Kane), who is harboring a secret crush on him.

The series will be executive produced by Dan Berendsen (The Nine Lives of Chloe King, Sabrina, the Teenage Witch and Hannah Montana: The Movie).

Baby Daddy premieres June 20, Wednesdays at 8:30/7:30c!

catsrule, that is way too many changes for next season. If Beauty and the Beast does go forward, put in on Sundays at 9pm, after Once Upon a Time. No way ABC should move Once Upon a Time when its easily doing well on Sundays. Plus there is no reason to believe ABC will be moving Grey's Anatomy to 10pm.

I apologize, too, Pavan, if you weren't trying to be nasty. Sometimes I have thin skin and take things too personally. Sorry.

Just so you know, I'm not, nor have I ever been angry with you. While I've never posted about it, my curiosity about you and ABC goes back years. I've even wondered if you were an ABC employee in the past. And that wasn't meant to be offensive in any way; it just seemed that you had a preference for the network. Now I know it's because they're the only one from whom you can get detailed information. I was wrong to make assumptions, and for that I apologize.

To be fair, it got ratings on par (even better some weeks) with Last Man Standing's recent ratings when it was airing after Modern Family repeats.

Of course not. I don't have any opinions on the pilots, since I haven't seen any of them.
I'll be rooting and want to see Counter Culture and the other multi camera comedy.

Any pilot for a new series on a major broadcast television network is always a recipe for disaster and failure. It if gets picked up, it'll be a candidate for cancellation after one season.
