I really wish the package was available to other pay-TV providers. I'm sure the NFL would get a lot more money under such an arrangement. The only party that would lose is DirecTV.

The Sunday Ticket is not appealing anymore because of the RedZone Channel.

I wouldn't say it's not appealing, but it's certainly a lot less appealing. But there are many, myself included, who would like to see certain out-of-market games in their entirety.

I guess I say not appealing because there was a time when I couldn't even see the partial footage of out of market games. So the fact that the Redzone channel gives me a live look in for every game at 1pm and 4pm makes the Sunday Ticket not as appealing as it once was.

Do you know I cried when Directv came to install the dish at my apartment and then came off the roof and told me that they won't be able to install the dish because the signal was blocked?-lol I had to take the dish back to the store and get a refund and stick with Comcast. One of the saddest days of my life

Yeah, that's very true. RedZone serves a wonderful purpose in that regard, and thankfully, it's available on providers other than just DirecTV.

The reason Sunday Ticket appeals to me is because I'm a transplant from Washington State, and I'd like to be able to see the Seahawks when they're not playing the 49ers.

I've heard rumors that Sunday Ticket may no longer be exclusive to just DirecTV in the next year or two, which would be great. I'd love to be able to get it on Comcast. I might look into subscribing to it on my PlayStation 3 next season if my wife approves and I can get enough of my friends to chip in.

That is a pretty big disappointment; I don't blame you for being so bummed. It's frustrating that you came so close, only to be let down.

I wanted DirecTV when I moved into my current apartment, but for some reason, my only options are DISH or Comcast. I stuck with Comcast, only because I didn't want to get into a longterm contract with DISH.

I completely stopped watching the NFL 2 or 3 years ago and I know I'm not the only one.
