Amy Acker will guest-star on "Person of Interest's" Season 1 finale, TVGuide.com has learned exclusively.

Acker will play an attractive psychologist who caters to the rich and powerful. When the machine spits out her number, Reese (Jim Caviezel) must keep her safe from several clients who could potentially kill to keep their secrets safe.

The season finale is slated to air May 17.

Comic-Con: Amy Acker Upped To Series Regular on "Person of Interest"

During a standing-room-only panel at Comic-Con, "Person of Interest" creator-showrunner Jonathan Nolan confirmed that recurring player Amy Acker has been elevated to series regular status.

She portrays the mysterious Root, the conflicted cyber-terrorist introduced in Season 1 and last seen in a mental institution.

CBS‘ "Person of Interest" kicks off its third season September 24 on a new night (Tuesday) and time (10 PM).
