Since its only $4.99 a month, I'm giving Comcast's new "Xfinity Streampix" service a try. If nothing else, it gives me more stuff to choose from in my cable box's on demand menu.
I noticed that one of the shows they offer is Married... with Children. Unlike Netflix, which has the entire run of the show, Streampix only offers the first two seasons. One advantage Streampix has over Netflix, though, is that their versions of the episodes use the original opening and closing theme music.
I'm not sure if this was an oversight on Comcast's part (maybe they weren't aware of the home video licensing issues surrounding the song and just ported the masters from the season 1 and 2 DVDs, which use the original theme), or if Sony has been able to reach an agreement with Capitol Records since completing the DVD run and licensing the show to Netflix.
The episodes seem to be the uncut network versions, since they feature the full opening credits sequence and don't have the "artificial act breaks" that were imposed upon the syndicated edits.
