A lot people in the public eye are ridiculing Kirk Cameron for his recent comments Kirk made to Piers Morgan on CNN, calling Homosexuality "unnatural & destructive to society."

Even though I frankly disagree with Kirk's sentiments because I have Gay friend/relatives in my hometown alone, & despite the fact that I am a devout Liberal Christian, at the same time, I'm a Bible-believing Christian & understand completely where Kirk Cameron is coming from--and for that reason, I don't believe he deserves this much ridiculing.

So instead of ridiculing Kirk for his recent Homosexuality comments he made to Piers Morgan via CNN, I will share with you Kirk's entire life story, unless otherwise noted brought to you by "The E! True Hollywood Story."

Kirk was born on October 12, 1969 in Los Angeles, California, the son of Rob Cameron, a 26-year-old rising middle-school Math teacher/gym coach, & 19-year-old Barbara Bausmith, who met a year earlier, c. 1968, and were expecting their 1st child before the year ended.

Barbara was 5 1/2 months into the pregnancy when she and Rob married on June 22, 1969, with Kirk's arrival occurring 3 1/2 months later, on October 12, 1969.

By 1974, Rob and Barbara were expecting again, and the following Spring, Kirk's parents gave him a baby sister, Candace, who was born on April 6, 1975 in Los Angeles.

The new family of 4 settled in the San Fernando Valley subdivision of Los Angeles, where in 1979, at the request of Barbara's friend/Cameron family neighbor Fran Rich, Barbara began taking 9-year-old Kirk and 4-year-old Candace out to auditions; later that year, Kirk made his professional acting debut in a Count Chocula commercial, with 5-year-old Candace making her professional acting debut in a NEVER-AIRED Mutual of Omaha commercial in 1980.

By 1982, 12-year-old Kirk & 7-year-old Candace graduated to bit parts on such network TV shows as "Lou Grant," "Herbie the Love Bug" (Kirk) & "St. Elsewhere" (Candace).

That same year, according to the December 3, 1986 issue of People Magazine featuring the then-recently deceased Archie Leach (known professionally as Cary Grant) on the cover, Kirk earned irreversible partial facial damage as a result of a 1982 Skiing Accident.

In August 1983, Kirk, aged 13, made his regular series role debut in a short-lived drama series called "Two Marriages," appearing opposite fellow future teen idol C. Thomas Howell.

Though the show lasted just 10 weeks until April 1984, fate was about to intervene for Kirk in September 1984, just before turning 15, when he auditioned for the role of the eldest teen son on a sitcom pilot called "Growing Pains," nailing the audition after asking future employer/show creator Neal Marlens (who based the show on his real life as a young teenager growing up in Long Island, New York in the '70s), "Is this a comedy show or what?"

Joining Kirk in the "Growing Pains" cast by March 1985 were 38-year-old Alan Thicke (born Alan Jeffrey on March 1, 1947 in Kirkland Lake, Canada, whose biological father, Bill, left the family when Alan was very young, & his mother, Mary, rekindled a romance with an old flame, flight physician Dr. Brian Thicke, who eventually gave Alan a little brother, Todd, now a writer for Vin di Bona & the hit TV game show "America's Funniest Home Videos"); 32-year-old Joanna Kerns (born Joanna De Varona on February 12, 1953 in San Francisco, California, whose older sister, Donna, was an Olympic gymnast in the mid-1960s); 15-year-old Elizabeth Ward (born c. 1969); and 9-year-old Jeremy Miller (born on October 21, 1975 in West Covina, California, whose parents, Dave & Sonny, divorced when Jeremy was VERY young; eventually, Sonny gave him 2 half-brothers, Tanner & Adam Levine, the latter not to be confused with the "Maroon 5" lead vocalist of the same name).

The "Growing Pains" pilot was taped in April 1985 at the Warner Bros. Studios in Burbank, California, and despite it being picked up for the Fall 1985 TV season, 15-year-old Elizabeth Ward was let go and replaced by an actress who had earlier auditioned but initially didn't get the part--15-year-old Tracey Gold (born Tracey Fisher on May 16, 1969 in New York City, New York, whose younger sister, Missy, born on July 14, 1970 in Helena, Montana, was a regular on TV's "Benson"; their biological father left the family soon after Missy was born, and the 2 sisters were eventually legally adopted by Harry Goldstein, a talent manager who, along with their mom Bonnie, gave them 2 half-sisters, Brandy & Jessie).

As a result of Tracey being cast, the pilot for "Growing Pains" was reshot with certain scenes originally featuring Elizabeth replaced with Tracey in the scenes.

"Growing Pains" made its debut on September 24, 1985 at 8 p.m. on the ABC Television Network after "Who's the Boss?" Though ratings were low in its 1st season, in January 1986, after creator Neal Marlens quit the show (to be replaced as showrunner by the trio of Dan Guntzelman, Mike Sullivan & Steve Marshall), the ratings climbed to #17 by Season's end.

In September 1986, at the start of Season 2 of the show, 16-year-old Kirk Cameron became a bona-fide teen heartthrob; however, his new status wasn't enough to prevent his parents from ending their marriage after 17 years, per his 2008 memoir "Still Growing."

The following March, 11-year-old Candace was cast as eldest daughter D.J. Tanner on a sitcom pilot called "Full House," and joining her were 23-year-old John Stamos (born on August 19, 1963 in Cypress, California), character actor John Posey, 27-year-old Dave Coulier (born on September 21, 1959 in Detroit, Michigan), 5-year-old Jodie Sweetin (born on January 19, 1982 in California), and the 9-month-old Olsen Twins (born on June 13, 1986 in Sherman Oaks, California); soon after the pilot taped, John Posey was let go because creator Jeff Franklin's original choice for the part of 29-year-old widower father Danny Tanner, Bob Saget (born on May 17, 1956 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, who was unavailable due to his stint on CBS's "The Morning Program") became available and signed on after being let go by CBS.

The original pilot scenes with Posey as Danny Tanner were reshot replaced with scenes featuring Bob Saget in the scenes that Summer after the show was picked up for Fall 1987.

Meanwhile, in Summer 1987, 17-year-old Kirk spent that Summer making his big-screen debut opposite British actor Dudley Moore (born on April 19, 1935 in Dagenham, England and died on March 27, 2002 in Plainfield, New Jersey of pneumonia after a 2 1/2 year public battle with progressive supranuclea palsy) and 16-year-old Sean Astin (born Sean Duke on February 25, 1971 in Santa Monica, California, the son of Patty Duke & John Astin, whose biological father was revealed by 1990 to be Michael Tell, a man Patty Duke was briefly married to before marrying John Astin, who gave Sean a half-brother, Mackenzie, on May 12, 1973 and soon legally adopted Sean as his own son after Mackenzie's birth).

During a break from filming the movie, Kirk's then-girlfriend, aspiring actress Leanna Creel (born on August 27, 1970 in Los Angeles, California), invited Kirk to attend the local Church where her father served as Pastor; by his own admission, per "Still Growing," Kirk had NEVER been to Church before growing up and was a staunch Athiest by age 14, but the experience changed him and converted him from Athiest to a follower of Jesus Christ.

Soon after his religious conversion, Kirk & Candace's parents, Rob & Barbara, reconciled their differences and eventually remarried in a marriage still going strong.

Meanwhile, "Full House" made its debut at 8 p.m. on September 22, 1987 on the ABC Television Network; ratings were low in its rookie season, but audiences were quickly swept away by the infant Olsen Twins, who became the show's breakout stars.

In 1988, months after his "Growing Pains" character Mike Seaver graduated from the fictional Thomas E. Dewey High School in Long Island, New York, 18-year-old Kirk Cameron graduated in real life from Chatsworth High School in the Chatsworth neighborhood of Los Angeles, the school Candace would eventually graduate from in 1993.

In 1989, just shy of 20, Kirk met and fell in love with 25-year-old aspiring actress/model Nancy Mueller (known professionally as Chelsea Noble, who was born on December 4, 1963 in Buffalo, New York, & who, per "Still Growing," was adopted as an infant by parents Fred and Irene Mueller, who also had a biological son, Dave) after Nancy was cast as Kate MacDonald, a potential love interest of Mike, a role that soon switched to real life for Kirk & Nancy.

In February 1991, months after his 21st birthday, Kirk & Nancy became engaged, and on July 20, 1991, Kirk & Nancy were married in Nancy's hometown of Buffalo, New York in a private ceremony attended by immediate family only--which caused a lot of friction amongst his colleagues because they were never invited to the wedding to begin with.

In April 1991, the trio of Dan Guntzelman, Mike Sullivan & Steve Marshall abruptly quit "Growing Pains" after Kirk called the Network President, saying they were "pornographers" (in Marshall's case, sadly correct, as he pled guilty in early 2010 to posession of Child Porn, earning a 7-year prison term in the process); as a result, Dan Wilcox replaced them as showrunner, & as a result, new writers/directors were hired, along with 16-year-old Leonardo DiCaprio (born on November 11, 1974 in Los Angeles, California), who was cast as Luke Brower, a 15-year-old boy initially introduced as a student of the inner-city school where Mike taught (for college credit) & soon afterwards was taken in by the Seaver family as a foster kid.

Despite the changes, "Growing Pains" managed to hang on to viewers, ranking in the Nielsen ratings at #27 (out of 102 prime-time network shows) by Season's end; however, ABC, fed up with Kirk's religious beliefs, canceled "Growing Pains," citing Kirk as the reason.

In the hour-long finale telecast on April 25, 1992, Maggie is offered to work for a Washington, D.C. senator & accepts the job, forcing the Seavers to leave Long Island, New York, their home of 7 years, as well as the TV audience who loved them SO much.

3 years later, in January 1995, ABC canceled "Full House," citing the series being too pricey to produce, and in the hour-long series finale of that show, the Olsen Twins character of youngest daughter Michelle Tanner (by this time 8 1/2 years old) wakes up from a horse-riding accident with Amnesia, only to gain it back by episode's end.

Later that year, 20-year-old Candace met and fell in love with pro Hockey player Val Bure (born on June 13, 1974 in Moscow, Russia), who she would marry on June 22, 1996.

Val & his older brother, Pavel, came to America from Russia 2 years before Val met Candace & ironically learned how to speak American English by watching "Full House."

In 1995, Kirk, aged 25, was cast in a self-titled sitcom created for him by Scott Baio, which lasted 15 months before being canceled in November 1996, citing plummeting ratings.

Also in 1996, Kirk & Nancy adopted their 1st child, son Luke, & adopted 3 more children, Ahna, Isobel, & Jack, before the year 2000, when Kirk & Nancy discovered they were expecting their first biological child, who would become a girl, Olivia Rose, born in April 2001; less than 2 years later, they welcomed a second biological child, son James Thomas, in April 2003.

In August 1998, Val, aged 24, & Candace, aged 23, also became first-timers in parenthood to a daughter, Natasha; they since have welcomed 2 sons, Lev (born February 2000) and Maks (born January 2002) to their brood of 5.

In the year 2000, Kirk, by this time 30 years old, officially retired from acting after making the first "Left Behind" film & embarked on a new career, that of an evangelical preacher, a career he still pursues to this day.

Meanwhile, by 2002, Candace, aged 27, & Val, aged 28, had retired from their respective careers & relocated to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, where they still live 10 years later.

That same year, months after the 9/11 attacks, 32-year-old Kirk teamed up with 52-year-old author Ray Comfort (born on December 5, 1949 in Christchurch, New Zealand), who had been a Minister since the early 1970s in his native New Zealand, to combine their ministries, rechristening it "The Way of the Master."

Today, at age 42, Kirk resides with his wife, Nancy, & 6 kids in Agoura Hills, California.

FYI: Like many of you, I too used to believe that Kirk & Candaces IMDB listing of their years of birth being 1970 & 1976 being correct, until the above information told me so.

Here is SCIENTIFIC EVIDENCE (evidence, based on FACTS, not OPINIONS)

1. In 1963, soon after the Kennedy Assassination (per History text books), Lyndon B. Johnson, after becoming President, signed into law, effective those born after September 1 of a given calendar year starting in 1965: if you were born AFTER September 1, YOU were cut off into the next grade in the American PUBLIC School Curriculum (PRIVATE schools still have their own agenda via work-at-your-own pace, with the usual School graduation age of 16). Case in point: Kirk Cameron, who, FOR the record, was born, as stated earlier in this post, on October 12, 1969. Tracey Gold, who was born May 16, 1969, is 5 months older than Kirk Cameron, but graduated high school in 1987, per the E! True Hollywood Story, a year before Kirk Cameron graduated.

2. Im not gonna lie & say it happens ALL the time, but SEVERAL entertainment industry actors (including Kirk & Candace Cameron) have shaved at least 1-2 years off their actual age to make themselves younger for parts (sometimes older, as the case with Laurence Fishburne, who confessed to being only 16 years old when he shot the film Apocalypse Now in 1978 but told producers he was shy of 18 at the time of his audition).

3. Since Dubya took office, Congress passed a Bill within the last decade changing the Public School Curriculum cut-off date from 9/1 to 12/1.

I don't think even Kirk Cameron, himself, cares as much as you do about his age.

Personally I have no problem with the guy except, maybe he should just keep his opinions and comments to himself.

Not that I wanna change my opinion of him (I'm never going to in my entire life), but I just had a thought. Didn't he say years later that his backstage antics on Growing Pains was immature and inappropriate? If so, when was that?

the ONLY thing "monkeefan" cares about is pushing this agenda that KC is lying about his age - just give it up buddy - we all know how you feel about this, unfortunately you can't actually prove anything.

Whether he is lying about his age or not, who cares? I certainly don't and I would argue that no one else on this board does either (with the exception of "monkeefan"). This is one of the most pointless "controversies" to try to debunk.

I agree this is pointless but if he were lying about his age then why would it be by only one year? I find it hard to believe that Kirk would go to the trouble to make people think he was born in 1970 and I doubt anyone really cares other than monkeefan and all his aliases.

Yeah, I hope one of those online arguements doesn't start with such a pointless issue! WHO CARES!

monkeefan, you are REALLY weird and totally, unnaturally OBSESSED with Kirk Cameron. Do you have a phsychotic crush on him or something? How many sicko threads about this nonsense are you going to make? You might need help.

Vahan, Kirk said the following while on Larry King with the Growing Pains cast a while back:

“I think that the way I probably handled myself back then was a little less graceful than I would like to do that now.”

Why should anyone believe you're theory about Kirk's age when you don't have all the facts straight.
For example, Missy Gold was born in Great Falls Montana, not Helena. You must have got her mixed up with Evel Knievel or something. Come to think of it, I believe Evel was born in Butte.
And what does Steve Marshall's legal quagmire and the Gold's family history have to do with this obsession about Kirk Cameron's real age.
I would also like to know where the information about Lyndon Johnson's education bill came from, he signed three I think. Which one was it? :)

Ok, take your so-called scientific evidence and explain this:

My brother was born in October, 1966, a friend and neighbor was born in September, 1966 and another friend in January, 1966. All graduated from High School in 1984. If the cut-off date was after September 1st then how do you explain the fact that 2 of these people were able to graduate in 1984 and not cut-off into the 1985 class? I will tell you now that none of them were held back so I have a strong hunch that I've blowed your evidence clear out of the water.

OK, Zoneboy: PERHAPS, and this is my theory, that either A: your brother and neighbor skipped a grade in School, or B: They BOTH attended PRIVATE school.
