Hey, I just got to wondering. Well it's been 100 years since the RMS Titanic set sail and her faithfull maiden voyage and sank.

Were there any references to the Titanic on "I Love Lucy"? I seem to remember hearing the word Titanic in a later episode but can't remember which or or what season.

I think Ricky was trying to as he would say Splain something to Lucy and he used the Titanic as an example or something. I might be wrong on this but I think I remember hearing Titanic mention in an episode. If anybody know which episode it was or what was said please let me know.

Also, What if they had made an episode where Lucy had dreamed that she, Ricky and the Mertzes were on board the Titanic? What kind of misjeaf could Lucy get into on the Titanic?

It seems an obvious answer: Although Latin music was not yet in vogue at the time of the Titanic, Lucy may still dream of of a return from Europe in which Wallace Hartley is replaced by Ricky Ricardo as the bandleader, who doesn't have any free time to spend with her, so she decides to make him her 'prisoner' in their stateroom on Sunday, April 14, 1912. Will they escape? .... imagination ...

But I can't remember Lucy referring to the Titanic in one of her 'splanations to Ricky. But it seems likely enough, somehow.

I don't remember any references either.
