Always the bridesmaid, never the bride? That can't be said of Melissa McCarthy, who follows up her Oscar-nominated role in Bridesmaids by waking down the aisle in a dress made of satin, tulle, crystals and pearls on Mike & Molly's May 14 season finale.

The ceremony takes place at Grandma's Baptist Church, with Ray Parker Jr. performing and Family Matters' Reginald VelJohnson officiating. "The gown is really purty and elegant," says exec producer Mark Roberts. The same can't be said for the rehearsal dinner, which airs a week earlier and is interrupted by Mike's dad, who ran off 20 years prior.

The evening will also reveal a secret about Molly's mom's boyfriend Vince. Adds Roberts, "There are some unexpected twists and turns before they get to the altar."

I never liked Family Matters, but when the Baptist minister walked in his office, I went "Hey, It's Mr. Winslow!" The man got really fat.

Is the show getting the church from The Blues Brothers?

Vince, of course is probably in the Mafia.

Small complaint to the writers, you are making Mike's mother too much of a bitchy shrew.

I've always liked him, too. Whether he was putting up with Lt. Murtaugh or Mother Winslow was beating up a criminal with her purse, those were good times!! It's great to see him pop back up on TV. :D

He works steadily. Why do I have to post everything he is in? You were going to watch him on the Disney sitcom I'm in the Band? And he was already on Mike & Molly before.

Why Reginald VelJohnson? Then wouldn't it have to be for every actor? You can easily search by actor on TV listings websites.

It should be a "program alert sticky thread" on every TV message board on this site.
