Is Annie about to get tangled with the KGB on "Covert Affairs"?

She will certainly have her hands full in Season 3 in the form of Simon Fischer, who will be played by Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time's Richard Coyle, TVGuide.com has learned exclusively.





Coyle will make his debut in the season premiere as Simon, a Cambridge-educated and refined globe-trotting venture capitalist who just so happens to be a suspected KGB spy.

Annie (Piper Perabo) is assigned to him, but soon finds herself more involved than she ever intended. Coyle will recur throughout the season, though an exact number of episodes hasn't been determined yet.

He joins fellow guest star Rebecca Creskoff as key new figures in Annie's life; Creskoff will play her new mentor.



Season 3 of "Covert Affairs" will premiere this summer on USA.
