I have seen him in interviews before and I don't think he is anything like Dwight Schrute.

He just said that he will do a pilot episode for the spinoff called "THE FARM" and the Office will continue next season.

I'm sure NBC will lure them in somehow, at least for a shortened season like Friends. It's still their highest rated scripted show, they aren't letting that go. They're going to be scrambling like crazy next season to find something to replace it though...hence why they ordered a TON of comedy pilots.
