I don't have actual numbers, but by early 1978 it was losing ground to recently transplanted What's Happening according to one article I read that put it among long-shots for renewal. Apparently it wasn't a great choice to lead off Saturday night, which crumbled that season after having previously been dominated by CBS for many years.

The 1975-76 the show finished at #26 and was tied with Donny and Marie and Streets of San Francisco.
There is no information for the last 2 seasons but if I were to guess, the reason the show did not do well in the final two seasons could be due to the reasons below
1. Police Shows were very popular in 1976 and 1977
2. Bionic Woman was a very popular show in 1977

Wow 26th, I would have to think if either The Bob Newhart Show or Streets of Sanfrancisco were on now they would both be top 10 shows, at least for me they would.

Wonder what changed in the 4th season to cause the show to lose viewers. I mean it has to be deeper than the timeslot.
