Michelle Borth to Join Cast of 'Hawaii Five-0' As A Regular [Archive] - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Steve McGarrett’s love life is looking up. Michelle Borth, who appeared in five episodes of Hawaii Five-0‘s first two seasons as McGarrett’s squeeze, will join the CBS procedural as a regular when it returns for a third season in the fall. She will reprise her role as McGarrett’s girlfriend, Lt. Catherine Rollins. Borth, repped by CAA, New Wave Entertainment and Marcy Morris, first guest starred in the fourth episode of Hawaii Five-0‘s first season and was most recently seen in an episode last month. She previously starred on ABC’s The Forgotten and Canadian-produced Combat Hospital. Borth is the second recurring guest star to be upped to regular on Hawaii Five-0 following last year’s promotion of Masi Oka. She joins Grace Park as the second female regular cast member on the show.

Hawaii Five 0. When they added the Catherine Rollins character to the main cast and she got major Mary Sue writing. Out of nowhere, it was all Cath, all the time. The showrunner forgot in mid season 3 (http://forums.previously.tv/topic/5412-once-great-shows-that-got-so-bad-they-sent-you-into-a-rage-spiral/page-2#entry96937) that there were other characters and insisted on pushing this lame character played by a sucky actress down our throats. Not to mention allowing said actress to repeatedly harass and bully fans on twitter. Thankfully showrunner Lenkov finally came to his senses in late season 4 and realized nobody liked Cath. Season 5 will be wonderfully Cath-free and hopefully the overall quality of the show will improve.

Here's the sordid Michelle Borth saga. MB, she plays Cath Rollins, a character that is quite disliked in the Hawaii Five-0 fandom. She's a Mary Sue who has been pushed as the leading lady and received a huge chunk of airtime.

Last spring, some H50 fans were talking on their own timelines on twitter about how much they loathed the Cath character (just the character, MB wasn't bashed at all). MB took offense to fans disliking a FICTIONAL character and started a hate campaign against fans who didn't like Cath. She stalked people's timelines, made a list of twitter users her followers should unfollow and harass. She also facebook stalked one fan whose real name and photo she distributed amongst her fans so they could send harassing messages to this fan on both twitter and facebook. She also went on to call several fans morons, monkeys, bitches, losers. Her followers were sending death threats to the fans she had named and shamed for disliking her fictional character. She blocked several people and then unblocked them so she could send demeaning tweets to them. All this time, she also kept lying that she was the one being harassed. There is literally no harassing tweets or death threats sent to her from the group she named. I know this because I was also one of the people she has bullied online.
