Whitney Cummings' NBC comedy righted itself throughout the season. Problem is, the jokes aren't hilarious.

I heard this on another board that the show is a lot better this season. What makes the show better this season?
yankeesrj12 03-24-2012, 02:50 AM I caught the last six episodes of Whitney OnDemand, and they got much better. I think if NBC gives the show a second season, it can try to work out more of its flaws and finally find its footing. I think its almost there, but it still has a bit of room for improvement. I definitely see a hit in the making here, but it'll need more time, something NBC may not be giving it.

Why is the show better?

The pilot was okay, but still pretty awful. However, by the time the season finale rolled around the acting, storylines, and overall charm of the show had dramatically improved. Is it the best comedy on television? Absolutely not, BUT it has the chance to do that as the pieces are all there. All NBC has to do is give the show one episode behind The Voice and watch the ratings take off...if they give it a second season.
Overall, I'd say Whitney is miles better than 2 Broke Girls, Suburgatory, and Up All Night. I'd probably go as far as to say the best new sitcom of the season.

If they do bring it back I hope they hold off on marrying Whitney and Alex for atleast 2 seasons.

I actually thought the pilot was hilarious. I love that scene where she poses as a nurse and she's trying think of a name and she says "Dr... Quinn." And Alex answers "Medicine Woman?"
