They think the remains discussed in the first link might be Jodi's despite their initial investigation into it being those of one of two Iowa women who disappeared within 11 years of each other. The bones were found in Mount Pleasant, Iowa, 210 miles from Jodi's hometown of Mason City where she vanished from.

They think from the second link that Angela Johnson, who was sentenced to death for helping her boyfriend Dustin Honken on a killing spree in Mason City in 1993, might have information on what happened to Jodi and whether she and Honken murdered Jodi.

I hope they do, because it's been heartache for her family not knowing what became of her. If these remains are hers or not, someone's family is grieving at this very moment. I hope that Angela lady has some vital information about what happened to Jodi if she knows anything at all.

Dont you think its bizarre though that if thisis Jodi's body it wasn't found earlier??? I mean it was spotted by some kids riding by on thier bikes so it mustn't have been very well hidden. Which makes me think it is one of the ladies that died more recently.

That Angela!!! To either stand by or to help kill two children and their mother plus two others...there aren't words for how vile and disgusting a human being she is!!

I wish they would find Jodi, but I have a hard time believing that the remains would just be sitting there for kids to find after almost seventeen years. Unless maybe the area is prone to flooding or something that would held unearth a body?

I hope they can immediately discern how old the remains are (the experts are usually very good at that). If it is fifteen years + then this could be a possibility.
